Omg I remember that dvd. So many peeps were going crazy to Venetian plaster evrything. And yes, I did dozens of walls, entire rooms, pillars, murals, bars, canvas, wood, planters, pots, statues and more. I just love working with textures. My latest craze is using pastry rolling pins or textures rollers I make. I really enjoy your work and always inspired and excited to see your work and videos😁

Hey Sandra, the adhesive grout on fabric is interesting. What kind of fabric do you use, and is the grout layered on it? Did you use big pieces of material or small pieces? Did you let it dry and then cut it in pieces? I always enjoy your teaching. Thanks Nina

AH - funny timing - I'm doing just this type of thing right now. Re-working some paintings and up-working some abandoned pieces. I also keep the same titles and inventory numbers. I share the before and after; people really like to see the transformations.

I learned this hot glue technique for making stencils a year ago. However, one day as I was working in my home studio on some elements with gold leaf, the leafing accidentally stuck to my hot glue stencil and stuck quite too well. Then I got the idea of using my glue gun to make elements and then gold leaf them. I was very impressed as doing this made some very beautiful and interesting organic shapes. I started using these to build elemental focal points in my mixed media work with matte medium and sealing them with varnish.

This is great! Can you put a layer of gel or matte medium down first?
