Starkid and weird game stuff?

I remember playing escaping the prison with one of my first friends, one that I may have parted ways, but that I still hold the good memories in my heart. I think I never forgot about Henry. Never did, never do and maybe never will.

I remember when I played the games, the Phoenix wright segment was my absolute favorite part Imagine my delight when I found out that ace attorney was an actual game 😂

These games were always so funny to me. I think my favourite fail might be the MLG one. It's just so ridiculous, and is probably completely incomprehensible to anyone who doesn't have the context. Which, I think is a part of its charm. Like you said, these games are sort of like a time capsule for what the internet was like when they released. While a lot of references can still be recognised today, like Mario or Minecraft, there are some that are much older. And it's these references that feel the most 'Henry Stickmin' to me. When I revisit these games, not only am I getting nostalgia for the games themselves, but also for everything that I might have forgotten. Memes and trends that were once inescapable but have since faded away. And yet, they're immortalised here.

Starship!!!!! My favorite Starkid show (with Nerdy Prudes)! Pincer is absolutely gorgeous, and Kick It Up A Notch is easily one of my favorite songs in musical theater. Wonderful video!

I've only recently found Starkid!! I've binge watched all their stuff and now into The Tin Can Bros, which is Joey Richter, Lauren Lopez, Curt Mega and others!!! Nightmare time is just pure awesomeness and expands the Hatchette field world!! So awesome!! Can't wait for their new one Cinderellas Castle!!

In Killer Track Zoe's "friend" is seen getting the tea that she gives to Zoe. It turns out the reason it doesn't help is because said "friend" actually hates Zoe and specifically asks for something that would make Zoe's throat worse.

NAH BUT FR i had just finished the hatchetfield series and youtube suggested me hey, melissa. i was like omg what and went to watch it and though melissa was so cute at first bc she was just really excited abt animals and had this cute little crush on paul but then it gave me whiplash. the fact that it wasn't supernatural at all and was just this seemingly normal woman being insane and a psychopath. like bro someone could do this irl and that's the craziest thing to me BUT ALSO SHE DOESNT LIKE DOGS???? I love leitmotifs so much and i was foaming at the mouth during Nightmare Time 1 and 2. Especially whenever Time Bastard played whenever Ted/ Homeless Ted showed up on screen. It hurt my soul.

It's great to see Kick It Up A Notch get some love. Thank you. 👏 It has such a strong classic villain song feel. It's in my personal top 3 Starkid villain songs and I can see why its one of you favorite Starkid songs period. I don't see people bring up Kick It Up A Notch much -- but it deserves hype!

This show is so severely underrated and everyone should know about it, also kick it up a notch is one of the greatest songs ever made with so much talent in it

48:01 Actually, Darren was already filming Glee when this line was said. Shortly after committing to composing Starship, Darren got Glee, and as a result couldn’t work on this show as much as originally planned. Nick Lang and Brian Holden have talked about being happy for him but knowing it would hurt the show, and in the end there were a lot fewer songs than originally promised, and with the songs we got the cast didn’t have them all even moving into tech for the show. Lauren has told a story of the cast rehearsing close to open and Darren surprising them by gleefully entering and singing, thinking they’d be so excited to see him, but everybody was so frustrated about the unfinished songs and missing songs so close to opening that they were deadpan and gave him the cold shoulder. They all laugh about it now- it changed how Starkid plans their shows (making sure it’s written before committing to an opening date) so it was a learning experience. But hey, now you get the full subtext of that line! 😆

What's funny is that I recently watched the main three musicals with a few of the Nightmare Time stuff so some of the characters wasn't a surprise. But I saw them all out of order. I watched Nerdy Prudes first, Didn't like Musical's second, and Black Friday last. To me Black Friday was the best one yet because it was so much more sincere and didn't under cut itself to much with a laugh. And Black Friday has THE BEST songs of the three.

i love starkid but ive been waiting for the hatchetfield stuff to finally end, i never expected there to be a series. its unique and there are some real gems of songs in there, but its not something i particularly looked forward to. I saw black friday in person and while it was amazing to see Joey and Dylan and Jeff and Nick and Lauren in person, nothing really stuck with me. i had been hoping for something as life changing as the rest of the starkid/tcb stuff and im so excited to see where Cinderella Castle brings us all

the fact this video is suggested to me directly aftet finishing nightmare time is wild. i just caught up with all the hatchetfield series (i watched it way out of order lol) and i want to rewatch it all but in order. i love this series so much the minds in starkid are all so creative all the ideas are so wild and goofy. they slightly remind me of gravity falls in the sense that a lot of weird things happen in this town, some of which are directly related to an entity unbeknownst to most of the town. it's all so cool and i love how the stories intermingle especially in nightmare time two. i didn't expect to see sherman in yellow jacket but i did. i didn't expect to see another angle of the honey pagent in killer track but i did. especially didn't expect it to directly mention the first episode of nmt two either by having angela's character talk abt her friend's voice being too messed up to perform and wanting to mess it up even more. it's just all so cool and i've been so excited to unveil the rest of the lore and learn more abt these characters i love sm
