      Thank you for sharing your feedback. The R2300, like the majority of retail Infrared Thermometers, uses long wave spectral response (8 to 14µm) to detect temperatures. Many application factors including the reflectivity of the material being measured, the distance from the thermometer to the object and environmental conditions can have an impact on the accuracy of measurements. We would recommend reaching out to our technical team at 1-877-849-2127 or by email at info@reedinstruments.com to discuss your application in more detail and figure out the root cause of your issue(s).

    • @reedinstruments3172
      @reedinstruments3172 Před 2 lety

      Hello Rodney, The accuracy of each device must be taken into account, as one is generating a sound level reference (Calibrator) while the other is measuring the sound level reference (sound level meter). The purpose of the calibration is to bring the sound level meter within its acceptable limits or tolerances. For sound level meters, the range of this acceptable limit/tolerance will depend on which type or class it belongs to. That being said, the accuracy of the R8090 is ±0.5 dB which complies with class 2.

      In any ultrasonic measurement scenario, the shape and roughness of the desired test material are of great importance. Rough, uneven surfaces will prevent the ultrasonic sensor from seating properly against the surface, thus limiting the penetration of ultrasound through the material, resulting in unstable and therefore, unreliable measurements. If the sensor is able to sit flat on your material and you are able to keep the sensor firmly against the desired measurement area ensuring that the coupling indicator appears on the LCD display, you should be able to get an accurate measurement.

    • @reedinstruments3172
      @reedinstruments3172 Před 4 lety

      Hello RUSL Bicycle, Thank you for your feedback. The R5090 should include the CO2 cost function, which allows a user to be able to determine how much CO2 is released by an energy supplier. If your device does not have this function, please communicate with our technical team via email at info@reedinstruments.com for assistance. In regards to your questions about Power Factor, it is not part of the CO2 setting. The power factor is the value of the actual power used by an appliance divided by the expected power. Power factors range between zero and one; a value of one indicates that all the electricity drawn by a load is being consumed.
