Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon P0449/P0446 Repair Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Valve replacement
In this video I show you how to install a new vapor canister vent solenoid on a 2004-2012 Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon. This will usually fix code P0446 or P0449 as well as fix the hard start after filling gas tank issue and the fuel pump clicking off before the tank is full issue.

The biggest thing I usually see is that someone uses the Accessory wire for Ignition. Ignition stays on during crank, Accessory drops out.

will the 4L80 Flexplate bolt behind a Gen 4 5.3 liter?, i have a th400 and a stall converter but im not sure if the gen 4 LS(5.3) Flexplate will work with my th400, sorry for being specific.

i hooked mine up just like you did but my fan stays on all the time as soon as i turn the key on any suggestions
If you truly hooked them up the way I did, then you most likely have a faulty temp switch that staying grounded out. That is the only thing that would cause your issue if the engine isn’t over 165 degrees already.
While I kept and rebuilt the 305 in my '88 IROC (5spd, t-tops), I did add inner and outer subframe connectors and the UMI torque arm. All add to an at least perceived/subjective improvement in drivability.
So are you saying if you have the aluminum proportioning valve it'll work if you put a disc rear end in just got to put a sticker spring in and do you got to reset the electric Shuffle valve put a new motor in my car last fall and it's still sitting in my garage cuz I'm getting no brakes if you can help me thank you great video

Very informative video saved me from so much loss of time and money. Quick question my coolant temp sensor that is being used to ground the relays out can I splice into those two wires and add my green coolant temp gauge reading wire?

Crazy, the Taylors just arrived from Amazon 10 minutes ago. 10.4 mm 409 series high-performance pro race. Red 79213. 2018 Cadillac CTS V. I'll report back. Just had some Red Granatelli wires break at the crimp with only 300 miles on them. #2 and #8 misfire. All my tuners say MSD, I wanted something different. Another V owner says he uses Taylor. Appreciate the information. Oh, I have Kooks 1 7/8 headers.
I just realized that my early 2009 production LS3 in my 2010 Camaro SS, has been super horrible blowby. I noticed it at first through the throttle body, so that was bad enough. Then, I installed an oil catch can and my horrors came true. I don’t have AFM/DOD, so I also don’t have a PCV. Chevy uses a flexible u-shaped connection to share a port from the engine valley cover, to the intake manifold. The driver side valve cover is capped off from the factory for this reason. Anyways, I noticed my oil catch can filling up literally every 4-5 days, driving more than 200-250 miles (not including hard driving, etc). My engine/car only has barely 35k miles, and I figured the piston rings weren’t bad (never got it compression checked), the spark plugs seemed okay, and the valley cover gasket couldn’t possibly be messed up. I’m gonna see if I can install an in-line PCV valve (3/8”) either through the inlet of my catch can, which goes to the intake manifold. I believe that this will remedy all the oil blow-by, as a result of the engine design

This makes sense on cars with upper thermostats but lower thermistats ? Mine is oem and lower hose is 99% akwats cold ..new thermostat twice over ..fans not kicking in ..ty

You did really good with what you’re working with. Let me tell you what I just finished doing mine and if I did it over again, I would buy all new materials for anyone that’s thinking about doing this you’re probably better off buying the kit online or just making one out of materials you can buy at the store reusing the old stuff sucks and you’re limited to the amount of material you have so you have to be pretty spot on for it to look decent. That’s why having a brand new bigger sheet of material would make this so much easier. Just letting you all know so you don’t make the same mistake I did.

Do you still have version 2.24 install file?
You should check and see if they have this with a one way check valve. It’s way better and won’t have oil all over your engine bay when in high boost. It’ll just let only air escape, no oily mess.

Id like to see a short video where exactly the switched ignition is and different ways to tap into it.
That’s gonna be a different circuit on every model vehicle bud. But it’s easy to figure out with a multimeter or test light. If the wire is hot with the key forward only, then that’s your wire.
I was thinking about getting a 3500-3800 torque converter for a 4l80e from the same place would you really recommend them I’m just paranoid it won’t stall to that or last ?

I've literally replaced my water pump, thermostat, all hoses, radiator, temp sensor and flushed it. Still getting hot at highway speed. Help!!! 😆

I have been meaning to subscribe and ask you a simple question. Here it goes. Why myself ,and my tuner can't figure out why my LS Swap bogs only at WOT. It is a 2003 Silverado 6.0 Liter with Terminator X Max and 4l80E tranny. It is all stock, except that I have an LS intake instead of the truck. It has 3.90 gears. It freaking rides so well at cruise and or rolling down the street. Once I go WOT, it chokes. I have to let go the pedal and press again then it takes off like a wild horse. What do you think.
It would be good to explain the difference between positive triggering the relays, and negative/ground triggering like many fan triggers. But overall great video!

Hello everyone, Do I still need to delete VATS if I took the motor and pcm from a donor truck that was running ? To my Ls swap?.
I feel my cooling system keeps my operating temperature below 180 degrees. I ran a thermostat again to save gas. I didn't change hoses when I changed to a better radiator and blew a hose up. It's about 100°F outside now. My thermostat was new. I tested it in hot water. I switched to water and coolant without freeze protection, pulle out the thermo and it's running cooler. I felt 180 was causing the car to run hotter than needed. My fans stay running right now because the coolant temp senspr quit and I just unplugged it so It won't burn up. This is very interesting stuff!!
