Hannah Smith-Brubaker and Debra Brubaker, Leaders in Sustainable Agriculture on America's Heartland
Pennsylvania farmer Hannah Smith-Brubaker’s story is unique because she not only received a SARE grant but also served as a leader on the SARE committee that decides how the grant programs will address agricultural needs throughout the Northeast. She and her wife Debra grow food in Cuba Mills, Penn., on land that has been in the family for 40 years. They’ll share how diversification and new marketing opportunities have benefited their farm.
SARE partnered with PBS KVIE to produce this special video from America's Heartland, which features farmers describing their commitment to sustainability, how they plan to meet farming challenges of today and tomorrow, and how SARE has impacted their farming and/or ranching practices.

Whomever did the videography is clueless. When the speaker is describing/discussing a graph or some other visual aid, the video should be showing that and not the speaker. The viewer should not have to rewind the video and pause it to view the slide during a talk. Huge fail.

Amazing concept by Gabe ,hats off for his services to society for healthy living. But to me it is still a idea, how i can convert this valuable knowledge into practical ? So please upload some practical videos about sowing cover crop before during or after sowing cash crop. Some harvesting clips and then again sowing the next crop in the presence of remains of previous crop. And machinery used in regenerative process. Thanks

    1. No till is the best way to increase carbon dioxide in the air, because the final product of decomposition is actually CO2. No till mostly increase organic matter on the soil surface, but is decomposed faster to CO2 than if mixed in the soil. 2. Limited tilling is the best way to increase organic matter IN THE SOIL. 3. And excessive tillage is the best way to decrease soil organic matter, and kill microbes.

You lost me with your socialism or as you call it "social justice". Why do people in this country continue to obsess with equality of outcomes? If you want to change the world make a friend. If you want to destroy a country, keep putting people in categories and then let someone else decide the winners and losers. How about just changing the world one relationship at a time? Your content is great otherwise!

Reminder that with certain soils/ shallow aquifer it doesn't matter if you have fences i.e. North FL Suwannee river basin, they say "if you spit on the ground, it'll reach the aquifer". Whole 'nother issue if that river basin should be agriculture central or a preserved national park system, but definitely reducing amount of waste/ cattle, water intensive crops, less deadly pesticides, etc can help Preserve the sensitive ecosystem I love most
