Yes to ACOTAR! 😅. I agree in that you should reach book 2 to really get into the romance plot. Book 2 is actually my favorite book in the series. Good luck!

ACOTAR is one of my favorite series of all time. Book 2 and 5 are some of my top favorite books I’ve ever read. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts and hope you like it!

I finished ACOTAR the day before yesterday. I had already read it once when i was 15, but the only thing i remembered from that time is that i liked it ok, but not enough to read book 2. This time around i was surprised how much i enjoyed it. It's not a new favorite, but i had a great time. I hope you will too!

I read my first Don Winslow (The Force) a couple months ago and it was a compelling gritty crime novel, quite the page turner. Definitely excited to hear thoughts on City on Fire, I picked it up and hope to get to it soon.

I have been trying to prioritize the books I have had sitting around the longest, so I understand picking up some you have had sitting for a while. Call of the Wild is a good quick read. :) I have Black Jack in ebook format, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I have heard good things though! Call of the Wild is a great classic! 😊

I've read jACK London 35 or 36 years ago. I think the book in english is called White Fang; Next month (August) I will read Morning Star. The series is not great, it's good.Since this year, I also read romances. I am looking for a good book from this area. Now I have Through My Window by Ariana Godoy. I want to say that the female character is much worse (in a positive sense) than in the movie. The movie is much better than the book. Good luck with ACATAR. I will probably read it at some point.

I recently read my first Winslow (Winter of Frankie Machine) because of Yolanda from Storytoob so I'm psyched to read more of him. I haven't finsihed these yet so they're carrying over into August: *Comics* Sandman Volume 1 (re-read) Preacher Volume 1 (re-read) *Grimdark Fantasy* Aspect-Emperor 2: White-luck Warrior (re-read) - I'm only 2 chapters in. There is so much LotR, Blood Meridian, the Dune sequels, ASOIAF in here as well as the biblical overtones Bakker loves to embed. Also a lot more Horror in this series than in Prince of Nothing. *Sci-Fi* Cloud Atlas / David Mitchell - I'm enjoying taking my time with this. *Western* Streets of Laredo / Larry McMurtry

I applaud you trying ACOTAR, since it’s outside your comfort zone. It’s going to be an interesting examination of literature that has gained a cult like following. Even if the book or series isn’t for you, I think you can still appreciate the impact on modern readers.

Glad to have you in the readathon!! I tried to read Sarah J Maas other series Crescent City and it's the only book I've ever dnf. But if you want to read a romantasy that's closer to traditional epic fantasy Try A Fate Inked In Blood.

I'd have to say my absolute favorite is Lonesome Dove. I re-read it every year, it is so good. LD and the sequel/prequels are the only Westerns I have ever read.

I still need to read Boy's Life. LOVED Swan Song and I've read almost all of his horror, but never picked this one up. Great list.

Mate, no shame in loving Harry Potter. It turned a whole generation on to fantasy! Song of Achilles was excellent! Have you read The Iliad? Worth it. Read Boy’s Life a couple months ago and LOVED it! 😀 And so many of the rest of your list are reads I really need to get to. Good to have you back, brother. The Road changed my approach as a father and a coach. It is a very difficult read, but well worth it.

Great video. I am intrigued bu Bernard Cornwell' s King Arthur book. It free on my kindle so great way for me to try hom out. My number one book is Andy Weir "The Martian ". I just love it. i am due for a reread soon...

Just finished HoA! The final act when everything was tying together was so freaking epic goddam. What an incredible roller coaster ride this trilogy was! So invested with the characters its sad to let go! Bittersweet is all I’m feeling right now. Gonna miss them all.
