Respectfully to those saying trimming and lining up hair is the male version of this 🫤…no it’s not comparable at all to adding heat damage to the hair and scalp along with styling product build up. Or even WORSE the addition of relaxer to one’s scalp. Both “styling techniques” have an impact (the latter being worse of course) on the person’s hair and scalp health resulting in the inevitable thinning and balding in said areas. Lye and no-lye relaxers contain sodium hydroxide and guanidine carbonate. What’s really disheartening is seeing videos and tutorials from ladies giving “how to” advice when they’re clearly misinformed😢. The notion you can relax your edges and still be natural is completely counterproductive. Forget the nonsensical notion of anyone “telling bw what to do with their hair/policing bw bodies etc.”🤦🏽‍♀️ It’s as if we’re incapable of speaking with each other in an adult manner. He wasn’t rude whatsoever but for some reason we’re unable to debate and discuss things even agree to disagree if that’s the case. Nope it’s victim hood and childish behavior grown adults speaking as if they have no social skills. The whole premise is extremely dramatic and simply untrue. It would serve us all if we could just talk. I don’t know why or when that became an impossibility. The problem is everyone thinks they know everything and nobody wants to be asked questions or have suggestions mentioned. It takes a village is extinct and look at the state of the community!!! It’s an utter disaster!! A complete dumpster fire! Clearly many folks don’t know as much as they claim to! So it would serve us all best to humble ourselves and try to care for each other like they did a few decades ago. If you’re old enough to remember there was a time we called ourselves brothers and sisters not n*ggas and b*tches. All of these things are interwoven, the more we promote this fake everything agenda even on something so small people are actually promoting it. Not everything is YASSSSS QUEEN at some point we need to educate ourselves on our history and try to do better. These kids are a mess I’ve never been so disgusted by my own people. They’re so lost and it’s only getting worse! This is the extreme when you have a group of people who have been historically displaced and have no roots to keep them grounded. We’re the only people who say if they like it I love it to something that’s detrimental to that person. It’s not support it’s sabotage.

Pro tip!!! If you want the color to not stain the skin along the hair line apply conditioner right before you add any water to her hair line. As you rub the conditioner in on the hair line you will see the color start to lift off the hair line. Remember this must be done before any water is added otherwise the water will set the color on the skin making it harder to remove. You did an amazing job. She looked fantastic.

And I actually get what you are saying about formulating the two strand twist, it is similar to the method of doing Senegalese twist versus kinky twist. But it is hard to break it down if someone isn't familiar with any of the above mentioned. I'm doing this style in my daughter's hair. Thanks for sharing Queen!!!
