I like Bassai Dai, the one we did not like too much (while I was doing Karate, in Miami) was Kanku Dai, (we affectionately called it "come to die") when done hard and fast with passion it is long and takes the juice out of you. Then after a min. of rest our Japanese Sensi would say the magic word............ AGAIN!...........AGAIN!..........AAAAAGAIN!.............:)

El Aikido es muy subestimado. Todo el problema son los maestros mediocres que lo expresan. Bien entrenado y aplicado el Aikido es un gran estilo de sumisiĂłn.

You keep stopping your attack as soon as he starts his defense. Why, and when, does that ever happen? Does the technique still work if the attacker is committed to finishing the task? I guess we'll never know. Pity. Nice dance moves.

In the past, in its home country was combined with magic for exampe there was the "ilmu Rawarontek" , namely if someone who adhered to this art was cut and there limbs were cuts off, They would not die but their limbs would be reconnected. There is also the science of human tiger, that is people who have the knowledge of silat can turn into the half-human and half- tiger and fight wildly, tearing their opponents bodies to shreds and many other mystical sciences are combined with this knowledge of silat.

"Any angle", or "Just do something", this is the true measure of a martial arts system that really works... Reminds me of my mentor, he studied different bladed systems which includes of course the Silat, the Italian's Cecillian, the native american knife fighting system, japanese system, and extensively on FMA (Ocho Kantos Kali- A system that's used by the Moro people, the Juramentados in Mindanao. Famously known during Filipino-American war, the reason why caliber 45 was invented)... -K3 Survival
