Greenhouse Propagation Mist System

Here's the misting system I use in my greenhouse for plant propagation. It consists of brass Phyto-Mist or Flora-Mist nozzles controlled by a Mist-O-Matic electric leaf. The stainless steel mesh (leaf) imitates the weight of water droplets that would sit on the plants/cuttings and activates the system based on water evaporation. As the electric leaf dries, it lifts up to tilt a mercury switch, ...

How to replace the interior light bulb in a Panasonic The Genius Prestige series microwave model NN-SD797S. I'm sure several models in this series have a similar procedure to change the bulb. Older models may have metal tabs instead of plastic clips that have to be bent out straight with pliers to release the bulb. The quickest and easiest is installing the original bulb, but I show a few repla...

Nice sprinkler system, covers a large area.
Can it even be considered a impact sprinkler at that point 😂 you could replace the end fun on a pivot with that
This old guy is in beautiful shape. It runs perfectly, and you capture it beautifully.
Thanks Bill!
Would you say you get 360 degrees of mist around those mist nozzles? I've got a very small mist system I'm trialing and can't seem to get 360 coverage, just trying to figure out where I'm going wrong
Yes these get 360 degree coverage, sometimes they can get some uneven coverage from deposits or algae and need to be cleaned. I'm not sure why yours are not achieving a full circle, I wonder if there's imperfections in the pin head surface and doesn't disperse the mist evenly.
An oldie and still goodie! 👍
Thanks John! It's still going strong 70+ years!
Dear Daran, we don't need to talk about your pump and your fabulous test site. Enviable! Thank you for always converting what is actually happening for us Europeans.
Dear Gisbert, thank you for your comment. I'm happy to include the conversions. 😊
That’s a nice RB 80 that runs extremely well on your set up! It really puts out a great looking amount of water with wonderful distance and coverage! Just curious if you know the nozzle sizes? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! The drive nozzle is 1/4" and the range nozzle is 3/8".
Thanks for the nozzle sizes. They really do the job!!
Nice RB 80. It seem the original heads with only fulcrum pin and driving off the nozzle shank the 70 too turns slow, it must not transmit the driving force as well as the later heads with the two post upper body, it may have to do with not enough gap between the stream and the nozzle shank, which limits the force from the arm when it cuts into the stream of water and forced close before water flowing to the spoon drives it into another cycle. I have a few of these but have never ran one of them..... we use the 80B/C site a bit but haven't set one of these up. I believe this was called the 80"special" with the Range Tube for a bit increased diameter and added coverage. Thanks for sharing! I see your trees are growing nicely!
Thanks Kerry! Yes these original heads do turn a lot slower, I wonder if they had a slightly larger drive nozzle bore if it would kick the arm out a little farther for some extra driving force. The trees are growing well!
Nice #80. It has some nice distance and coverage. Runs well off your setup. I have one but I think the drive nozzle is a 7/32". Mine also is a slow turner too. Where did you find this one?
Thanks! Sounds like your drive nozzle is a little bit smaller, these older models seem to be slower turners by their design. This was an eBay find.
@@photocontrol The dealer has buckets of them there. Tons of them. On risers. Must've used at a smaller field, maybe turf or golf course. Still would like to find a 808, theres some on ebay but they have stripped threads for drive nozzle. Not interested unless they go for cheap, I'd have to re-tap it. I'd probably take it to a shop and have them do it. those 808's are massive. Almost as big as a end gun!
Like is given..! I love the sound of impact sprinklers. Once I had to translate a Joni Mitchell song for a non garden person that did not understand the phrase:" the hissing of summer lawns.
Thank you!
Eso es hermoso, pero para evitar la fuga por viento y l evaporación por el sol, es recomemdable regar de noche 😊
Sí, regar por la noche es una buena idea.
Water pump
This was running on 100 PSI city water, a pump gives good performance as well.
Oh my god! This sprinkler I saw while I was doing a water play!
Thanks. That was certainly straightforward and helpful. What AWG wire did you use, by the way? No crimping tool or spare wire or connectors on my bench, so before I spend money on all that, I think I'll go with an original bulb!
Glad the video was helpful. I just used some 18 awg wire I had.
Poppy to see you on your own and I can get her to see you will try to find a new phone to see what you want for a good time to do you a good way of doing the same as it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
👍😋😋💨
I wonder if this impact is made by Sime... The design looks similar. A smaller version of my Senior. And your pump kicks that arm back like mine do. The thing i noticed about these impact guns is the pronounced "click" of the trip mechanism when the sprinkler reaches the end of it's arc. Mine especially is VERY loud. And even over the pumps you can hear it in the video. The spring they use to trip the sprinkler for reverse must be pretty strong. Both of the videos of the Sime senior guns I have on my channel you can very well hear the "click" when tripped. I think mine had not much use, it has marks and stuff on it but still in great shape. I hope to one day get its bigger bro the "Synkro" Its a wedge drive with a stream diffuser system that moves a wire clip into the stream every so often during forward and reverse. Also since its a wedge drive it reverses slowly like a SR gun.
It's possible, or they had these produced in China. They do have a pronounced click in the trip mechanism. I'll have to keep an eye out for Sime sprinklers.
Amazing 💯👍
Thank you!!
All you need now is a hose reel! And you can set a sprinkler in the field and have the reel pull it towards it and shut off when it's done. I would love to get one for myself but i have no where to put it. Those reels are massive!
One of those would be nice to have, I did see a couple on FB Marketplace, pretty pricey still for used ones. Maybe one day I will get one.
@@photocontrol maybe you can find one cheap with a P200 or 205G mounted on it! That'd be a nice addition to your collection. But I wonder if your setup would run it. Maybe if you used a custom washer as a nozzle like I did!
@@NelsonBigGunP200Fan The ones I've seen used are pretty expensive, about $5000.00 😬 Hopefully I could find something cheaper one day.
That's another great sprinkler.
Thank you!
wow you have 70 PSI on that little head? Whats the max PSI your pump can put out?
Yes the P35 was getting some good pressure lol, the max pressure is 85 PSI.
Oldie but still goodie. Have a great weekend. 👍
Thank you John!
That's in great shape, runs really well, and is beautifully captured.
Thank you!
Nice Nelson P35. It really has great coverage along with the nice speed of the movement. Thanks for sharing…
Thank you, it's a really nice impact for sure!
I like the design of the walla walla impacts. The boxy look of the drive arm and spoon. Also this is a very quick returner! It runs well! Thank you for sharing. Where'd you find it ?
I like the design as well, I have another F70 that looks similar. Found it on eBay.
Nice P35. I had no idea those existed. Looks like a small version of my P85.
It's nozzle pipe rest all space magnet force push pull suction
Thanks for sharing, very nice!👍✨
Thank you! 😊
There is satisfaction to watching the mechanical precision in motion! Another LIKE for your video!
Thanks Ray!!
I knew something went on inside the greenhouses - but I had no idea! Like John says below, they are popular in Florida... I find them to be very interesting... another LIKE for your video!
This works well for automatic watering, I also have to do a lot of manual watering by hose with a 3 ft wand and water breaker head attached.
outstanding excellent work space
Seriously satisfying to watch industrial size sprinklers in action! Another LIKE on your video!
Thanks Ray!
I need one this 😘
Such a beautiful and efficient sprinkler system, and it covers a very large area.
Thank you, yes it does cover a large area, a very nice German designed sprinkler.
That looks nice and efficient.
It sure is, thanks!
They are very popular here in Florida.👍
Good little misters for humidification and evaporative cooling. Thanks John!
A nice full circle impact sprinkler and all the way from Germany. 👍
Thanks John!
Fascinating. I love the control system!
Thank you!
Que caudal de agua minima necesita? Gracias
El flujo mínimo de agua para este aspersor con boquillas de 9/32" y 7/32" es de 20 galones por minuto. Si puede conseguir este aspersor con boquillas de 1/4" y 7/32", el mínimo es 16 galones por minuto.
Very nice misting system!
Thank you!
Nice sprinkler! It has nice movement with excellent coverage! Great job on creating the adapter. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
That's original. If I wasn't so lazy, there would already be a little movie about the Tegtmeier nozzle. It works exactly like the one you showed. A certain Tegtmeier claims to have developed it in Hanover in 1948. He applied for a patent for the nozzle in Germany. It was frequently mentioned in German irrigation literature in the 1950s and 1960s and praised for its fine spray mist. For me, it's always interesting to ask: Which manufacturer was inspired by whom?
That will be great to see the Tegtmeier nozzle in operation. It seems a few manufacturers were producing these.
Interesting how the stream from the impact nozzle gets completely absorbed by the massive range nozzle. It almost gives the water pattern the look of a gear driven sprinkler head.
I need your stand. As it would be easier to set up than my stand. Mine sticks in the ground and unless i position the legs right and spread out it tips over. Also this head kind of reminds me of my buckner 10601, except the rear spreader. Where did you pick this up at? Also i see part of mechanism on the back that is used for a PC version. Oh nvm thats the spreader port. Wonder if theres a PC version of this head ?
I agree, my style of stand would work great for you, just need one designed that can be dismantled more for transport and storage. I received the sprinkler from a fellow collector in Germany. There was a PC version as well, these were discontinued.
Reminds me of the sprays used on the fresh produce section at the store. Very gentle very fine mist sprayed on the lettuce, etc. works good!
Yes that's true, very similar to the sprayers in the produce section.
Nice perrot! Kinda reminds me of toro a bit as well. The range nozzle gets out there pretty far !
Thanks! Toro USA bought Perrot, they still have these in FC and, PC but in a large pop up rotor.
A great video. Thanks to your perfect adapter and this wonderful pump, I was able to see the LVZR in action. This seems to be a great sprinkler. Thanks for the effort.
Thank you Gisbert! Thanks again for sending this great sprinkler!
Wow... very coo video, sprinkler and set up!!!
Thank you!
Nice work overcoming the international thread issue! Perrot makes very interesting looking impacts, and this one works great on your stand! Really great video!
Thank you very much! It seems an off the shelf adapter isn't very common from BSP to NPT in that size, glad I was able to modify the PVC BSP fitting.
Very nice! I saw a system like this in Hal Wellmiers rhododendron nursery, he took over from his parents, Clem and Trudy. Unfortunately those plants fell prey to 2 larger nurseries doing tissue culture. Those two are also gone now, it is a shame.
Thank you! That's too bad those nurseries are gone.
