Hi, Yes the printer can use the official zebra labels, DocTan and Non DocTab. This printer is most similar to the LP2844 as it can print EPL printer language and the ZP450 as it can print ZPL printer language as well. You can even install those drivers printer’s drivers and use the Bixolon printer port.

@@Musicasuave123 Thank you sir ! I got mine up and running and it works great. However, it is missing a reel and the labels that UPS sent me arrived on a huge roll. So my "work-around" was to feed the labels through the back of the unit. I mean through the space on the back between the rear hinge / body. Do you know where I could find a replacement "take-up reel" for this model? TIA.

Hi, These printers are either bluetooth or Wifi. They do not have both wireless system installed. You do not need an IP address for bluetooth. Bluetooth is for short distance wireless connections. Wifi is for longer distance wires connection. Do you have a bluetooth or Wifi printer? We can help you set up your printer by connection with you remotely. Yes, you have to connect it via USB, download the Bixolon SRP 700III driver and install it on your computer. Then go to the printer driver properties. Do a test print from the driver to make sure it work. You have have to change the label size to the one in the printer so to work correctly with your program. Hi, We can put up to 500 count 4 x 6 labels on a roll that we have specially made for these printers. The roll has one inch core. However, these printers have a horizontal slot opening that can accommodate labels coming from larger rolls or a fanfold label. Hi, Yes the ZP450 printer works with your Lenovo laptop assuming you have windows or linux OS installed and an open USB 2 port on your computer. Then you need to search for the Zebra ZP450 driver. We recommend this driver: www.seagullscientific.com/support/downloads/drivers/zebra/download/ This driver is from a third party company called Seagull Scientific that offers a barcoding program called Bartender. That is by far the easiest driver to install. Before you install the printer, make sure the printer is on and connected to your computer via USB. Make sure it has labels and the status light is solid green. Then download the driver and install it. We offer free tech support to the customers that buy the printer from us. Hi, By default these printers are set up as DHCP network. That means that as soon as you connect it to the network, your router will automatically assign an IP address for you. If your printer has a permanent IP address on the memory, the printer will not allow the router to assign the IP address. If that is the case, you need to reset the printer network connection. Hi, If you do not get an IP address, your printer does not have the Ethernet Card Built In. ZP450 printer with built in ethernet are rare and more expensive. We have external Ethernet Cards that connect to the Parallel Port available. They cost $69 with shipping and technical support included.

It works with Chrome Books with USB connection. We have not tested the Ethernet Connection.

Hi, You have to hold the feed button and release it when the lift flashes once. That will give you the configuration label along with the Network Configuration network. Please make sure the printer is turned on and the green light is solid. You need to make sure the ZP450 has an Ethernet connection on the back. If your printer does not have an Ethernet connection on the printer, it will not work. ZP450 with Ethernet connection as not very common.

Hi, That sounds like your printer has a permanent IP address saved on the printer memory. Is likely that IP address is not compatible with your router or network. You need to reset the printers network system. Hi, If you have a true Zebra LP2844 printer you need to get a A to B USB printer cable. You can but it online or at any electronics or department store. If you bough a similar cheaper printer that looks like a LP2844 but does not have a USB port you will need a different cable called Parallel to USB. Your printer needs to have a USB connection on the back for it to install correctly. Parallel to USB cables and difficult to install. I hope we answer your question.

Hi, If the barcode is not showing, you might not have the right label size on the printer settings. Please go to your devices and printer settings folder. Look for the printer driver. Right click on it and choose the Printer Preferences. There you will have the setting where you can change the label size to 4 x 6. Save the changes and try to printer again. You also need to make sure you are printing the right label format. If you did not change it before hand, your label might come out sideways or too small. Hi, That is normal. These printers are programmed to do that. It is actually calibrating itself to make sure it prints the right size label. These printers were derived to be left on all the time like any other modern electronic device. Just leave it on when not in use. There is a way to turn the self calibration feature but it requires you to go to the driver and look for a hidden setting on the printer. Just leave it on all the time. It uses very little power when not in use. The switch is there in case you need to move the printer to another place or if you will not use it for several days.

Hi, Yes you can use the Zebra printer on your Mac. Just connect it to your Mac, got to your printer settings, click on the Plus + button to add a printer. It will ask you what driver to use, choose Zebra ZPL driver. Add the printer on your computer. That is it. The label might come out a bit fuzzy but that still scan. That us normal on a Mac. You can search videos on CZcams about installing a zebra printer on a Mac. You will find instructions as well.
