Jack Strap didn't exist. This guy was just a dupe. Jack Strap was Mark "The Shark" Drucker. I got to meet John a couple of times. He's a super, super nice guy. My favorite moment from him was at the Pink Floyd concert at old JFK stadium when he came out at intermission and ask the crowd to not wave their hands because people were getting crushed up front. One guy started waving his hands and John goes, "120,000 and 1 asshole." The crowd lost it.

My morning show co-host and I used to pretend we were this super cheesy show called "The Morning Zoo with super zany and wild Starfish and her even nuttier, wilder, and crazier cohost Stingray!!! The MORNING ZOO WITH STINGRAY AND STARFISH only on ...THE WHALE. THE BEACH'S HIT MUSIC STATION! I would do the pukey, super fast delivery that this guy just did! Did he end up doing consulting? I am sure he is a legend like Scott Shannon, but these were so funny to my co-host and I to hear them and then hear shows still doing this crap. We would do our fake breaks and I would tease "COming UP....we are going to get super nutty....super wild...super crazy when we play the game you love!!! It's called THE DYSLEXIC MIX!!! WHERE WE are going to play 3 songs backwards! Yes...backwards..you heard me...we are getting super crazy bc three songs back to back to back backwards. You be the first person to guess those songs and you will win a Hardee's sausage biscuit!!!! (I hosted the legendary TK101, WHICH is the longest running heritage rock radio station in the country and is in the double market of Pensacola and Mobile. They had a deal with Hardee's where we were to give away a sausage biscuit during the 7am hour! Now, they gave us NOT A COUPLE BISCUITS, NOT BISCUITS FOR THE OFFICE...THIS WAS ONE FREAKING SAUSAGE BISCUIT...so we made it sound bigger than life and the audience played along! We made this super heavily produced bigger than life promo for it too! People got cracked up when it said "YOU may spend more money picking up the certificate to get this free biscuit certiificate but you will have the bragging rights that you are an part of the GIVE ME YOU SAUSAGE...BISCUIT CLUB!" WE DID THE SAME THING with this boxing robe that had the radio station and morning logo on it because of a comcast ppv give away they sent and I started this BS that Pensacola had "Robe Fever" and thousands of people wanted this robe. We sent our super skinny(weighed 90lbs dripping wet...producer to go out and model the robe in the morning at all kind of locations and would hype up "THIS COULD BE YOURS!" IT'S REALLY IN what you can get the audience to play along with! Which they always played into our BS.... BUt quick story....our nightmare happened. Our New PD was great! Wanted to promote us with TV commercials, billboards, daily promo that aired each hour and made the radio station "and the home of the Morning ZOO" and spent hours of his own time finding those quick one liners that aired with all these promos. We had one issue with him. He wanted to name our show THE MORNING ZOO!!! LONG STORY SHORT. We had this terminally ill kid we had raised over 75k for over hte past 2 years...and so I asked his mother and father for a favor....so on air, we asked this kid to name the show anyhting he wanted. He named us "The ZOO bc Melissa is a griaffe because she's so tall and you are a monkey Jordan!!!! Adorable voice of 4 to 5 year old saying it...people were crying going "I love you guys! Letting that kid name the show ! I just loved it! "

This used to be a good radio station. It's completely sucked for years now. Preston and Steve are an absolute bore, Pierre has never been entertaining, and the rest of the staff is mediocre at best. Thank god for thing's like Spotify and the likes. Terrestrial radio in general is absolutely awful..

Cool color combo maroon interior on a silver car. Usually they were gray so that’s pretty cool almost like the black ones that were gray interior. Most of them had maroon.

Until a few minutes or so ago, I had no idea the heat bags needed to be plugged in, nor did I know Domino's came up with the concept of delivering them in bags. Maybe that's why I didn't realize the cheese on pizzas were stringy until I was around 6.

The strength of Lindros was crazy.. holding off the defenseman with one arm and having the strength to put the puck in with that kind of velocity with one arm is nothing short of amazing..

Too bad it took 40 years of these types of hits for NHL to wise up and protect their players especially stars.. granted Lindros needed to skate with his head up but he took several really really bad hits to the head this one by kasparitus and the Stevens hit basically cut him to half the player he was he just was never the same. In today's nhl those hits are 100% getting a major penalty and a game misconduct for illegal hit to the head plus a lengthy suspension..the effects will be felt long after retirement and the priority should always be players safety i feel like if the rules today were implemented then plus the concussion protocol he would have had a longer more productive career as he would have been the pre Stevens hit longer but we'll never know. Who knows what he would have accomplished had he not had all the servere concussions.. Lindros was awesome before those hits..
