Yes they're all purple for me. Personally I'm glad someone else has it as I wondered if it was a mod, unless you have the same mods 😂. If it's SCS they sort it.

@@beetlnees Yes I just bought the game and stumbled across your video. I installed all the same mods as you plus a tyre and a realistic economy mod. I was worried whether it was my graphics settings or not.

Aghh. It looks like it's possible a mod then. It's got to be one of the vegetation ones. Just have to disable until they fix it. I'm really impressed with the antialasing though and overall look and it doesn't seem to have affected pc performance. I'll have to get a video done.

@@beetlnees it's definitely the grass lite mod, I disabled that and no more purple textures.

Thanks very much. Yeah it needs a wheel option although it doesn't bother me personally. I used to have one but got fed up with getting it out and putting it away. I'm an armchair gamer which is part of my channel's ethos I suppose. Re tsw or train life it depends what you want out of it. TSW is more of a SIM but for me gets boring after an hour of going from a to b. TL has SIM elements but there's more to do. Changing points, things on the track, the whole of Europe map (no dlc needed here), a business to run. It's main letdown is the occasional bugs and the forever changing speed limits. For me it's TL purely for the gameplay but with a decent SIM esq vibe. If you want a more full on SIM then it's TSW. Hope that helps. I will do more TL soon.

Hi and thanks. 👍 Yes most devices should work including tables and phones. It's more about your internet connection really. It doesn't need to be particularly fast, say 60mbps, but it does need to be stable. If you can ethernet your laptop that would be better. And try the free tier on GFN and you can see for yourself. Yes you do need the game but there are free games on GFN you can try to test your bandwidth and/or device

I thought I'd replied to this sorry. It was mainly Train life. Most if not all others did cloud save but when I bought my laptop I noticed they didn't always sync.

I was wondering because I wanted to find why I have to download mod’s constantly when I’m trying to join my friends server on ark but I figured out it only works if you own something from Steam or if it’s a steam download it mod. I don't recall installing a mod for that. Hopefully 1.50 will bring a lot of new stuff. I'd love to be able to walk around even if it's limited to certain areas.

Wow what a comment and some useful info 👍 I really didn't know what to expect and I can only compare the tutorial side of things as that's as far as I got in ksp1 😂. I just wasn't grasping the controls, nav ball thing in ksp1. As I think I say in the video I couldn't really remember what 1 was like just that I wasn't grasping things. I think 2 is better from that perspective but interesting that you say 1 is just as good with mods etc. For me a game like this requires too much time to get to grips with. It was the same with X4 but I do love space and space games. ED is my favourite of this genre. Anyway thanks for the comments 👍

Just for me personally a better choice of games over PS. Yes me and deano do a fair bit of trucking usually Monday and Thursday evening atm. I'm pleased it's worked for you. The series x is on a par with ps5 so I don't know what's happened. It is better now with the updates. It's probably just a crappy port.

@@beetlnees What traffic density would you recommend? I feel like everything under 70% makes cities look like ghost towns and it makes it completely unrealistic. I mean what's the purpose of waiting at a red light when no single car is visible? The only positive thing is that you improve fps by turning traffic down. I have it on 90% if I see it's causing issues I'll turn it down to 75 or something like that. Also I found out that by disabling the UI mirrors you also improve fps

@christinamayers3234 I would say what you're doing is the best thing to do. I tried 60 at first but I've played around with it like you. I agree if there's no traffic it's pointless but too much and there are too many jams. I don't use digital mirrors so not an option for me. Are you enjoying it?

@@beetlnees Yes it's a relaxing game with nice graphics. It's just a pain that there's no cruise control and you have to always hold down R2. Wish the devs will add this feature the game needs it

I tried the deflection model but it didn't help me. I'm fine with thumb stick really I just thought I'd try it. Yeah scs have things nailed on so many levels. If they get their truck Sims on console they'll be a game changer.

😂🤣 love it. The ingenuity of it. The one issue I have with the Steam controller is 'looking' using the pad is very jerky. I use the gyro on TSC to look because of the pad issue.

@@beetlnees In the interim period of the wheel not working properly and strapping the Steam Controller to the wheel I had my Steam Controller set up so that my right thumb had to be on the pad for for using the the gyro to steer. Only reason I mapped the controller so that my thumb had to be on one of the pads for the gyro to work was so that when I was going in a straight line I did not have to constantly adjust the steering (kinda get arm ache after a while) As for camera looking I set that on the thumb stick but only left and right and unassigned up and down instead opting to use those axis for less essential things like Diff lock and window wipers as neither of those would interfere while driving, well except Diff lock when below a certain speed 5mph? I think the touch pads sensitivity can be adjusted in steam? at least they can be on the Steam Deck so I am assuming that can be done on the Steam Controller too. If I was to use a Steam Controller now I would probably use the thumb stick for steering and the gyro for looking with a large enough dead zone on the gyro to compensate for any inconsistency in how I hold the controller.

there are different settings per game for the pads and some are smoother than others. I hope they make a mark 2 steam controller with better pads on it. I nearly bought that farming sim wheel then changed to the logitech instead

@@MrWharfe wise choice not to buy that bundle it is garbage :D I hope there will be a Steam Controller 2 as well given that they built it into the Steam Deck, although I hope it has all the same options on it, 2 pads, 2 thumbsticks, dpad xyab buttons etc

Thanks for the support. I'm aiming to do more this year than last. It's a bit easier now I have a PC. I'll definitely try the steam controller. Weirdly I use the gyro to look around on TSC but never thought about steering with it on a driving SIM. 👍

great stuff, by the way the steering would just spin until i changed the gyro behavior setting to "Gyro to joystick Deflection(beta)"in steam and having steering set to pad in TLS sorted out the dead zone. this worked in a few sims, just in case you run in to the same "bug"?!! keep me eye out for ya future vids!

Oh yes. I think it does apply them as you see when I lower the scaling and the FPS improves but if you go back into the settings they revert back to default. It's shoddy work as per usual.
