Edited, synced and Mastered by Hed Gilboa: www.hedgilboasound.com/ I've spliced together the best quality video I could find of the clip from a VHS recording of a Japanese TV broadcast (supplied by Remy Menting) with the officially released snippets from the Yesyears rockumentary DVD. Audio is from a brand-new needle-drop digitization of the original "dry" mix on the New Age Of Atlantic vinyl L...

Edited, synced and Mastered by Hed Gilboa: www.hedgilboasound.com/ I've synched the originally silent 8mm footage from the Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Hartford shows with the New Jersey show radio broadcast audio, and then edited them together into a continuous mash-up. The Milwaukee footage is sadly rather dark, but I've managed to decipher the action from the light show.

Edited, synced and Mastered by Hed Gilboa: www.hedgilboasound.com/ A mash-up I created of amateur footage from the Going For The One tour. I used the Glasgow show as a basis and incorporated clips from New Haven, Wembley and an unknown location. Audio is from the 1978 Wembley radio broadcast.
Thank you for this video. I found the other one, too. I was in high school in the early 70s. And I was completely in love with their music. I saw them twice at the old Spectrum in Philadelphia. It was so great. And funny because the arena was filled with weed haze. I imagine the boys in Yes got high right along with the rest of us. This song is so great. Steve Howe was a god.
Wow this is a much more expanded version of the Glasgow 77 recording I have seen.
I love you all... I saw this tour 4 times sandiego long Beach LA, and the Aladen theater in Vegas... They were paging Mr Rick Wakemans. In the hotel.. Me and my bro. Walked thru the casino..i saw Jon At a roulette ... I said. To my bro. That's Jon .. I said ...can I have a hand shake.. His hand came out he turned around ..iwanted to touch ..and I did no autograph needed ..i was so happy ...Yes..i know
EN ESTA PIEZA MAGISTRAL , APRECIÉ LA CALIDAD DE BATERISTA,KE FUE ALAN WHITE,UNOS RITMOS BIEN A CONTRATIEMPO!!! DESCANSA EN PAZ ALAN !!! UNA ESCUELA
Great tour … and Donovan opened!
My 1st and BEST of 10 YES shows would be this TALES / CTTE show on 2/16/74 (Evening Show) @ the Spectrum, Phila PA. Oh Ya, No opener, just 2hrs & 35mins of YES in rare form!!
Hello young people! Did you know that? There was a time when humans could play wonderful music with real instruments!!!!
Genius quality. Thank you🙏
This is the true YES ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There does exist video of the 1976 JFK show professionally filmed. I've seen about 30 seconds of it and it looks amazing. Wish they could find it and release it...Apparently the film company were never paid and they held onto all of the footage that was filmed that day. I've heard they can no longer locate it. Too bad...
Where, when and how did you get to see these 30 seconds?
Thank you for posting this concert. This was my first, and best YES concert in Portland, Oregon at the Memorial Coliseum during this tour in ‘77. Donovan opened the show. A friend and fellow fan and I decided to go see them on the day of the show. Excellent seats 1/3 of the way up off the floor for $8.50 a ticket. All members were at the peak.
should be an official LIVE album from the GOING FOR THE ONE tour.... this and TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS live....has been missed out for some reason....
What a brilliant performance! All the power they went into to make such melodic tunes!
Bring back great memories. Loved this tour. Thanks for video
Thank you!
Thank you. Just...THANK YOU. You did a very good job with this.
Thank you!!!
Worth time stamping 15:36
I love Alan. The man doesn't get much respect. R.I.P
everyone is 'Bill Bruford' and Bill is good, (im glad Bill went to KING CRIMSON)... but Alan was on both my favourites.... TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS and RELAYER.... GOING FOR THE ONE/TORMATO/DRAMA/90125....right up to the end....always a solid prog drummer....
I just saw Jon Anderson last night, didn't get much sleep. Amazed his voice has held up so well. But "Thank God" - as the new song goes - for old videos.
Yes are truly a band nonpareil! On "Starship Trooper," a prog classic, Steve 's unique technique and presentation rank among the best I have heard. Lon live Yes!
I thought Chris used the triple neck bass on awaken always. But he's obvisously playing the Ric on this version at this concert abd I like it alot better.
In my humble opinion Steve Howe is THE MOST precise & accurate guitarist EVER. Nearly PERFECT.
he's nearly perfect, but not because he's surgical- he's really a very human player as it were
interespaciales, el universo todo2
First...I love YES. But when I saw them in the round, the sound was beyond terrible. We almost walked out because the mix and the volume was so bad.
Ja polubiłam Yes w 1974 roku i od tamtej pory nie przestałam ich kochać
Steve Howe at his Best?
The most distinctive and inventive bass sound in prog rock. Squire's a true genius
Glad there’s some Remembering in this. They dropped it from the set list early on.
I was at the 1978 concert at Wembley ❤
Was this on the round stage?
no
Really top draw from the Classic YES line-up: magical despite the eventual split following to the tour ...
Is there anything on earth more transcendent than a Yes Concert? I'm hard pressed to find it...
thank you!!
THank you!
Absolute perfection. Saw them last month and they played Turn of the Century and it was still superb.
No one, I mean no one played steel pedal guitar as insanely as Steve Howe. Was it ever or was it ever again such and incendiary rock instrument?
Excelente edición del video! En especial Future Times Rejoice un video aparte de este tema estaria bien.
20:31 my favorite part
I saw this tour in Philadelphia. It was the first rock concert filmed at The Spectrum. It was released on dvd. Good luck finding it.
Need more of Wakeman and his church organ. IMO that's the heart of this song. Not loud enough.
Saw Jon and the Geeks last night in Chicago! Excellent show! 2 songs off the forthcoming new album Good stuff! Jon is still the singing magician
jon’s voice is insane the whole time!!
It was a magical night at 15.They created an incredible atmosphere. It was like being in a music movie.
i saw this in Hampton Colliseum.I was 15.Fantastic show.
Saw them 1978 on their “in the round “ tour in atlanta ga usa
Check this out: czcams.com/video/6qN_wP2D0l4/video.htmlsi=tdD1vqho9Tgv4NrQ
I saw that tour in Cincinnati.
I had all yes logos all over my text books greatest days of my life I'm now wereas it gone wow ❤
i used to write their logo on my paperbag covered books.
christ almighty... On The Silent Wings Of Freedom here is 100% peak Yes.
Indeed. The Tormato album always gets a bad rap, but for my money Silent Wings of freedom stands up against anything in the Yes catalogue.
Jon Anderson's hair really grew in the 6 weeks between QPR and this show! He seems preoccupied w/the "sound" levels being not quite right during this "sound" chaser, he motions upwards with his left arm. Also, he totally lost his voice i think right after this show or the next. Sounded like a raspy frog for a bit. 🐸
Le meilleur groupe de rock progressif
You got the date wrong, it was Friday 8th June 1984.
