How to Make Sandwich Bread
Nothing beats the smell of fresh homemade bread! In this quick video, learn how to make the perfect sandwich bread-soft, fluffy, and ideal for any filling. Say goodbye to store-bought loaves and hello to homemade goodness!
Ingredients needed:
Strong Bread Flour - 500g
Yeast - 4g
Salt - 11g
Sugar - 20g
Water - 324ml
Olive Oil - 44ml
Instructions:
1) Add all the ingredients together and keep mixing until a dough is formed.
2) Lightly flour your workspace and knead for about 5 minutes.
3) Once you have a smooth dough, proof the dough in a well oiled bowl for 1 hour or double in size.
4) Flour your workspace again and prepare for shaping,
5) Lightly pinch the dough and make fold the sides into centre.
6) Once both sides is folded. Gently roll the dough up, occasionally lightly push in the dough while rolling so the dough will be tight. After rolling, lightly roll it back towards you.
7) After shaping, make sure the seam of the dough is faced down when you put it in a oil up bread pan. Leave it to proof until a few inches below the lip of the pan.
8) Preheat the oven and bake at 190C for 40 minutes.

    What brand of yeast do you use? Mine doesnt rise that well

      I use SAF Instant Gold. But there are multiple reasons that why it doesn't rise well. The most common one is the yeast touched the salt, which will severely impact the yeast. Another factor is liquid is too hot or too cold, or just expired. If you have any questions feel free to ask more!
