We get back out to the fields to find some arrowheads.
One hell of a hunt
I like to think what they would have thought of fossils in flint. I can’t imagine their theories
2 great looking points! Congrats!
Hey Tom. New subscriber. Enjoy your adventures and knowledge. I found a piece of rough slate along the Ohio river with holes drilled through it. Don’t know if it’s an unfinished “banner” type stone or just roof slate. Would like to get your opinion at “ Unidentified Ohio River valley slate”. Utube.
Thanks for taking a look at it Tom! My wife said the same thing “dummy why didn’t show back also” I’ll have to practice on my video skills. I’ll leave better image. Thanks again. God bless.
Great find if you dont mind me asking what county
If you can get into the Analytics a "Little". Do some videos like. "Trying to make Money Arrowhead Hunting on CZcams" You could start with a video asking "have you ever considered using the promote button offered though youtube? And lets consider the promote button. When is a good time. Maybe when you go back to the dig site in the woods and dig a Clovis. Or some big Stemmed lance. and throw $100.00 at the video. And see what it does. Then tell your viewers what happened. And that is how you REACH out of arrowhead hunting and get new people in here. Talking about money. The highest RPM word on this platform
I am going to do this. But I am not going to use the promote button. i am going to go over to managergram and buy 25,000 views and talk about what i did. Show all the viewers here how easy it is to inflate. And the difference in RPM. Id say right now in this Low Rpm month.....id make like $1.00 per 1000 views if I used managergram. Stick up for yourself. Your content is deserving
Great finds. Thanks for sharing.
Nice finds guys, good luck out there
Beautiful pieces bud!! Nice to find a field to hunt this late…. Congrats on 2 nice 1s!!! 👊🏻
Thanks friend. Good luck to you.
Congratulations Jenny
Great points Commissioner! I’ve watched you for years. Always enjoy the way you present your finds.
Thanks for watching. Nothing fancy out here in rural Ohio but we do have a good area for artifacts.
If you can get some sort of pump hooked up for your dig site in the woods. It is even worth hauling in water. You can get a plastic tank for your truck bed....and use a sprayer on the sifter. That makes it 10 times easier. if you can run a line from a creek...with a pump. That is even better. That Ashtabula point you found in my opinion was Museum Quality. Not a common type by any means...and an exceptional example. Good luck man. I hope you find 50 more
Awesome finds
You dont hit the creeks!
Glad you didn't give up on the woods dig site
Thanks for watching.
Does that big Coshocton point that Jenny found have a nice spokeshave flaked into it? The Ashtabula is sweet👍🏻 .... hope you guys pull a lot more nice stuff from the woods dig! It's gonna be another scorcher in central PA today .... I'm sure it will be the same for you in Ohio! Take care Tom & Jenny .... stay cool✌🏻🏹🏹 (edited for schpellen)🤣
I do think the edge of the blade shows wear and may be a spokeshave.
Thats awesome man two great pieces
A couple great finds
Beautiful points, Tom, that Ashtabula is gorgeous!❤
Very nice points Tom!!!
Guess ya can’t give up on digging em with that result, hope all is well, keep on em 😎😎😎
Always!
Beautiful workmanship...nice finds
Thank you kindly.
Hi Tom. Two beauties Im excited to see what else comes out of the woods site. Peace
Thanks for watching.
Two nice points Tom, those materials are sharp. I was hunting near Columbus Ohio one day on a “hot tip” that they were building a huge subdivision on a old Native camp site. Hunted all day and only found a freshly snapped in two Ashtabula damaged by a Earth Mover. I still have it all these years later👍🏻
Heavy equipment and artifacts don't mix well.
@@commissionertom 👍🏻
Right on brother. Congrats to you both. Two nice finds👍🇺🇸
Thanks Smoke. Good to hear from you.
Nice finds, man !!! Bummer on the white broke one..✌🍀⛏⛏
Maybe you should go with something like " Topographical Map Leads To Arrowhead of a Life-Time". Then buy 500,000 views on the upload, and pretend you are popular. I don't know about you, I don't want to do stuff like that. But we have multiple people with channels around us doing it............every upload. To try and diminish our uploads. Not cool if you ask me.
Big Sandy all day!
Awesome thanks for sharing 👍😊
Definitely a beauty!!! Found a white one identical to that. It was very nicely worked
That one point alone made venturing out in the heat totally worth it. What a beauty!
Outstanding find brother👍🇺🇸
Thanks my friend. Hope all is well.
Awesome finds .nice material.keep up the hard work. It's brutal in Texas rt now.keep the water handy
Has anyone offered an explanation as to why hunting on farmland has a higher yield than, say, hunting in the woods or in creeks? Is it simply because the ground cleared and overturned? And if so, does that mean that other settings like woods or meadows have as many points to find, but are just hidden by foliage and leaf litter? Just genuinely curious to better understand how the First Nations hunted and lived hundreds of years ago.
In my opinion, anywhere the ground is disturbed has the potential to produce an artifact. The reason people find them in creeks is due to bank erosion into ancient sites. There are so many undisturbed artifacts laying just under the surface of woods and meadows but we may never see them.
@@commissionertom it just blows my mind to think about the number of artifacts out there, waiting to be found. 🤯
My daughter and granddaughters have been hunting with me this spring and we have found many points and broken points. Passing the love of history onward.
That’s what it’s all about.
Real nice!!
A shame on that broken Adena
Really nice pentagonal !
Thanks for sharing! Hope to see more from the dig site this summer. Be well.
Nice hunt Tom. Stay hydrated buddy. Peace
How far away are you from a water source?
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching.
Well all in all it was a good hunt👍
Looks like an Ashtabula.
That’s what I was thinking👍🏻
I know what you mean but the base was a bit untypical. Thanks for your opinion though.
Looking forward to your dig site videos
Oh man- that's a smoker ! How close are you to Wellington ?
Not very close.
Nice find!!
Thanks!
Yall did great we enjoyed watching. Beautiful points, that point with the snapped stem wis nice as well! Love the pendant 👍👍👍
Awesome saves, everybody 😃👍!!!
Great Saves! You did well considering you saw footprints. I don't like seeing footprints, but I have found pieces that they missed. Good luck!
