No, this one is no G - Clarinet but a regular Bb - Horn. The "G" stands for german bore - as far as I know - ?? - Please write in the comments, if you know more about this clarinets. I love the feel that the clarinet provides.

At the age of 69 I`m ready to study my instruments again - much more intense, like I did in my early years. I love to learn the clarinet NOW. ....if you can master this BeBopLick you will get automatically to the next basistone in the cycle of fifth.....it might be a fine "warmup" for the fingers. educciman(at)gmail(dot)com In the last decades we had multiple trashy THOMANN instruments, but the quality is better in the last time ( IMO ). This flute reminds me to the ALTUS - flutes from master TANAKA in Japan and WILLIAM BENNET from London.....?..... Really not bad the scale. And also very, very affordable: I payed about 180,-€ for this flute and can easily use the parts for my instrument...

Charlotte is just one of many manufacturers of this type of pipe: 3/4 inch, Schedule 40 PVC It is a highly standardized dimension regardless of the manufacturer. PVC is not used in Europe due to toxic aspects, especially in manufacturing, burning and disposal. But it is widely used and available in USA because it was standardized back in the 50s. I've made lots of crazy flutes - yours is very impressive!

Liebe TanjaWolff, vielen lieben Dank für dein Interesse an diesen gedruckten Mundstücken. Diese Art Mundstücke werden gern auf meinen Seminaren von Studenten benutzt, die auch schon Xiaos, Shakuhachis, Quenas, Neys, Kavals etc.... kennen und diesen Ansatz auf die Böhmflöte übertragen möchten. Es ist ein Ansatz, der unter Umständen einige Eingewöhnungszeit benötigt, aber dann durch einen großartigen Sound, Volumen und Modulationsfähigkeit belohnt. Wie bei manch anderen ethischen Flöteninstrumenten habe ich einen "Knoten" eingebaut, der eine exakte Intonation über den kompletten Bereich der Böhmflöte bietet. Vertical head joints should become the default for any flute, for ergonomics alone. No idea if this will ever be commercially available, but I'd buy one in a heartbeat for my own nuvo if it does.

Ja ja, SCHADE - der Druck war heute noch NIX geworden und wir haben doch in der Eile die Klappe auf die falsche Seite gezeichnet...!? Ist inzwischen korrigiert und die gewandelten STL - Files sind erneut in den 2 vorhandenen Druckmaschinen gelandet. Die alte Bassklarinette muss aber eh noch geölt und bepolstert und renoviert werden. Dann können wir auch erst hören, ob die gut spielt und auch stimmt. Das macht Spaß, liebe Freunde. LG, Martin

I have a drawerful of recorders, and a flute. Time to get experimenting. I want to do this without making any irreversible mods to the flute. The recorders don't matter too much. It's good he manages to preserve the original tone of the flute though.

That’s really cool Martin! Are these for sale? What would one cost in US dollars? Do you need to modify your head joint?
The Olive wood is the jacket around the basic 3D - resin - printed XIAO mouthpiece, that you will find in other videos on my channel. The acoustics and very good intonation is just identical. A wooden jacket is more for esthetics - more/less. The basic model, without timberjacket is 120,-€ plus shipping. The olive is not for sale and would be way to expensive, because of the amount of handwork on it. You have always to check the right diameter of your flute, to fit the metaltenon properly, that is a critical point, when you change a mouthpiece. Mostly you have to visit your local instrument doc to let it make with the right tools they own. For mor questions use my email adress to write a PM, please
