AK Faux Third Pin - Silver Soldering
zhlédnutí 2,2KPřed 4 lety
This is a video showing my process for attaching a fake auto sear pin to an AK receiver via silver soldering. This is a cosmetic addition only. I do this for the same reason people get full auto selector markings and notches on AK receivers: to give the appearance of being a full auto AK because the NFA prohibits me from creating a real one. My AKs are primarily "clone" guns for collection purp...

Would you ever consider letting this one go?
Hard to believe Form 1 are being approved in 3 days lately.
This was damn informative!
You still have it?
By seeing you tighten the barrel, I can tell it's most likely a bit over 30 foot Lbs. but at least it's not under.
so beautiful
FYI 3/4" = 19.05mm
Good stuff on the diopter white dot tips, but how do you know where is the real 0 is at? I mean what is the easiest way to tell
Good video! Small clarification. When I purchased my PS90 in 2007 (2 years after they were created for the civilian market) if you purchased one with the Ring Sight it came with a plastic housing, with white reticle. The plastic housing had two raised ridges, one at the front and one at the back, running left/right across the top of the housing. Brand new at the time was the option of getting the Ring Sight that the US Secret Service was using. It was marketed as the "USSS" version. This was similar to yours, with a smooth top (no raised ridges), metal housing with a black reticle. At a later date, the original style plastic housing sight became available with a black reticle, as many were complaining that the white reticle was difficult to see against many targets.
might be a weird comment but the sound is very satisfying. reminds me of a clip i saw about the shootout scene in heat, which was praised for its real audio recordings of the reverb in the urban environment where the scene happens. apparently they wanted to overdub the shots but decided against it which lead to it becoming a very revered scene. this audio here reminds me of it. thanks for sharing
I want in pakistan plz brother
I wish you put more details in the title.
I think that short spring is for the floating barrel.
Hey chuddy did you die?
Nah
@@12gaugeTim thanks
Scratchy low voice, couldnt really hear him.
I would rather have the 3rd hole, and weld it up, so its not visible
Putting a hot barrel in cold snow or cold water can easily warp a barrel Just sayin
Still have it?
Yes, not sure if I did a video on it but it’s built and painted to match now, easily one of my favorite guns
“Rpg” Rpggg” Lol
You fucking loser. You didn’t even bother reading the instructions on how to use your nods. GTFO
The range of visual acuity of average people begins at -4. Most professionally tuned night vision will have a base setting of -4.
So your saying -4 for 20/20 vision?
Typically, yes that is a good starting Point.
But why?
more correct visual appearance without going through the rigamaroll of dumb ATF nonsense?
@@realfnneato3111 Except you just now made an illegal machine gun, so you might as well just have went through with it
Bro, you saved my ass with this video. Just got my Form-1 approved (5-week turnaround time) and followed every step you demonstrated. I too had to follow a similar first step after failing to locate the blind shroud pin. I couldn’t have been more than 1mm off of it. Oh well. Job’s done. Thanks for taking time to post this video. Cheers!
I use Matbock Eclipse on my NVG's, they devices work amazing for infinite focus!
I have one of these. In the axiom box. The zeroing is such a pain in the ass I’ve given up. Wasted my money on it. The turrets are confusing as shit.
It’s very easy. Russian conscripts can do it, kids on CZcams can do it. You could have done it.
Hey is there a way after zeroing to get the crosshair back in the center position ? :) (I got a posp 4-12x42)
Well, at the Tula factory where they make real aksu-74's they test them at minus 40 celsius... So in minus 5 celsius there should be no problems...
TArkov mag
Where did you get that scope from?
lol the music sucks but cool video
I took off the eye piece trim ring and then immediately proceeded to break the threads on the back of the eyepiece Those trim rings protect the very thin plastic threads on the eye piece It's literally paper thin plastic and will break if you bump it into a hard object without the sacrificial ring/rubber boot trim ring thing installed
You just fail
@@pizzasteakphocheeseburgeri2965 nah I use my shit

Great info
Cool video!! I love it when you blew up those big rocks!! That was pretty accurate right out of the box!!
Thanks. Very helpful as I do mine.
Thank you for explaining trajectories and effects of adjustments. You done good. God bless!
THANK YOU!!!! you helped me adjust all the OCD issues i had with all my NVG's! All my dots are in 1 position and match across all my devices now!! 😎👍
The montage is universal for weaver and picantini ?
You could always do the 556 mod with some bikini covers
I wouldn’t move your stop rings either, they are set where they are so you can attach magnifiers to the objective lens and focus them in, reason I wouldn’t move them is it can warp the end of the of the tube, it will cause friction in the focus adjustments and as you screw that tightening ring higher up on the pod you are tensioning it down to thinner weaker polymer areas, also the set screws are super super easy to over torque and you will destroy the threads. I already made a comment on the diopter lenses, don’t move the white dot ⚪️. The dial the numbers are printed on moves freely by hand... the white dot is your “zero” or reference point. So if you have 20/20 vision you would turn the dial until -.05 is in line with the white dot. A lot of people don’t know the rear eye cup insert are removable and are only there for sacrificial lenses or amber filters or filters of any kind. I don’t run rear eye cup inserts, it makes the IpD much easier because of the bigger eye box. So that was solid information. I’ve never broken a rear lens before, I’ve only broken front lenses and the actual arms the pods connect too.
He moved the white dot because the "zero" was set at -2. The other one was focused but the one he adjusted was off by 2.
So don’t line up 0 with the dot for 20/20 vision?
@@Youknowwh0iam no, line it up with the -5
