@@StefanNordlander Same here, at one point in time I had a BlizzardPPC (inc. CVPPC) and two CyberStormPPC cards (+ the graphics board). Sold them all back then and now I just have my 060 cards (BFG/TF)... can not say I miss the PPC cards TBH :)

@@cv643d PPC on classic is a peculiar experience no doubt :) But it had a huge impact on me staying active on the miggy post y2k. Also where I got to learn Linux..

Hi, there's absolutely no room left for an IDE controller, ROM, logic and port. Trust me 😅 And besides, most accelerators have IDE with much better performance. I've actually ordered an IDE68 to use in one of my boxes. And yes, the awesome PiStorm works great with Denise. Basically; if it works in an A500(+) - it works with Denise. Oh, I almost forgot - the schematics, BOM and everything else is pinned in a post on the RetroTinkering Discord server. Join us and have a chat! Link on www.enterlogic.se and Tindie.

And please note that the board in this video (Easy Amy) is NOT the one we sell on Tindie (yet). It was a side-project by MrA to test a 99% through hole design. It was supposed to be easier to build (hence the name) but turned out not to be. Denise-SMD now comes with all SMDs pre mounted. Which is about half of the components needed. So we choose to launch that board instead. Hope that made sense 😊

@@StefanNordlander Thanks. I will take a look. You are correct, the IDE68 isn´t fast. But I forgot you have two Zorro-II-Slots, so I might simply use a Buddha. While most accelerators have IDE, the PiStorm actually has not. No problem for HD, but I want a real CD-Drive... Actually my question about the PiStorm was more about the physical fit (if it conflicts with one of the Zorro-Slots, esp. if using HDMI-output). Due to the dense packed board the distance between the first zorro and CPU-socket seems a bit smal.

@@oleurgast730 Got it, and yes you might have to use a relocator. There are lots of discussions and tips on Discord. Even a few custom solutions like a special relocator and Zorro-to-A2000-CPU board to fit the PiStorm :)

I mentioned this in the description. Dunno what went wrong with the encoding. Learned the hard way that DaVinci Resolve on Windows doesnt offer HVENC on NVidia in the free version. On macOS it does hardware encoding for free.

@@vertigoz Zorro2 "compatible", yes. The same way a stock A500 can have Zorro slots on the side expansion.

Perhaps .. I think I got rid of the sound by removing the PiStorm and using a regular CPU. The thing is - this board is special as it supports both Amiga and PC drives. But this feature is not optimal so it was removed in later (mini-itx) boards. So it _could_ be related to that as well.

Good question. I do not have this bord up and running but there are some things you have to have according to the Agnus/Denise documentation: 1. An A500+ layout Agnus (NOT all 8375 have this pinout!!!) 2. The VBB cap (this is easy to fix if it is the wrong kind of Agnus, maybe already on the board) 3. Correct memory layout. What kind of Agnus do you have? Example: 318069-16

In addition to Marcel's excellent reply, the Agnus information (and other useful stuff) are available on page 4 of the manual available here www.enterlogic.se/?page_id=180 . As for the required 2Mb 8375 Agnus, Denise supports both 318069-10 and 390544-01 - but check the manual as an optional component XC1 has to be mounted for 318069-10. I have been told a 'Diet Agnus' board should work with Denise as an option to use 1Mb ECS Agnus (8372(A) or 318069-xx. But I have not verified this myself.

​@@StefanNordlander Any reason why the NTSC variant's wouldn't work? 390544-02 and 318069-11 The 'Diet Agnus' board completely replaces the chipram, so it should work in theory. The only way a VBB issue could happen is if you use a 'Diet Agnus' PCB with a 318069-18/19 Agnus, you would then have to place C7 on the 'Diet Agnus' board.

The position was just temporary, but the heatsink actually doesn’t get that hot.
