Man, I know you're meme-ing but this is some of the most redneck hillbilly shit I've ever seen! 🤣
I did have several days of back and forth with Mopar TSP support, but man.... if you think Mopar is complicated/ expensive with those three subscriptions, you don't want to go anywhere near Volvo programming! Last Volvo I did was an air bag module and a mid voltage battery module after a collision repair, over $400 in software. You have to buy all of their VIDA subscriptions (scan tool, service info, parts catalog, TSBs, news bulletins, on and on and on...) and software for each individual module @ about $95 each, give or take a few bucks.... also not j2534 compatible, you need their OBD2 to ethernet adapter. As for Mopar, I never got my autel maxiflash vci to work with witech. My old cardaq m worked for older non can fd cars, but we are collision certified for many OEMs and Mopar is the only one that seems to give a discount on this stuff. 50% on the OEM vci and an annual witech subscription, and free tech authority sub. The OEM vci (MDP) is crazy fast and with annual subscriptions the only thing I need buy is a programming token when i need to program a module. Once you know your way around, and especially with the OE vci, witech is definently the fastest and one of the easier OEM scan tools to use.
Spot on man Nice thank you help me
Can you share where you sourced the TOYOTA emblem on the grill of your 80? I love it
Can u still have the heater lines hooked up doing this or no? I have a gen 4 5.3 in a 96 blazer stock style radiator but its a 3core im having circulation issues at idle stays cold when driving
No you can't. I bypassed the heater core. If you are only having trouble at idle I would suspect it could be a cooling fan issue. Is it electric or mechanical fan?
@@slaterrockshop4564 dual electric fans
And both fans are new 12v 80w i have a relay on each only 30 amps a peice
WOW..
Love this build! Which shackles did you go with for you reversal that fit the stock perches and the yj springs?
I ordered them from oreileys. It's a dorman part number, I will look them up when I get back to the shop
@@slaterrockshop4564 Much appreciated! there are a lot of Dorman shackle options lol

IF the O-ring is flattened out why not replace the O-ring? This is a potential fix on the upper radiator hose to the Y- connector. The upper hose O-ring is available at the dealer. If the reservoir O-ring is not some generic O-ring should be.
I've had several fords that would not seal up with a new o ring. Had to replace the resevoir too. I had about 5 out of 10 trucks continue to leak after replacing o ring. Then we would have to replace the resevoir too. Now I can just change the hose and be confident in the repair
@@slaterrockshop4564 Understood. Fords leak like a sieve. Oil. Coolant. Thanks for the additional info.
How much do you want for it
slick
Love how you got the side view mirror reversed so you can check yourself out while you're working under the hood
Gotta make sure my hair looks right!
When starting mandatory PCM update witech 2.0 says "staring chrysler flash process" and fails "can open communication with module" I know pcm is worikng as can read dtc and car runs normally. any ideas?
Don't have a clue, sorry. I hate chrysler btw
Thanks for the video, do you if this is the same process to program a bcm on 2022 Ram TRX?
It should be
really appreciate this! this is gonna save my behind because I'm going on a cross country trip and the lead time on that replacement hose from Ford was way too long. I'm curious to see how it held up. Any news from the customer on it?
It's held up well. We've been using a different barbed hose reducer from ict bullet 1in to 3/4 in. They are available on Amazon

Is this one for sale? Would you take $60k?
Ain't for sale!
very clever solution for the steering. would like more info on how you reamed the spindle to flip the draglink. nice work.

Curious if there is a way to restore all the vehicle modules to factory programming? Used an electronic modification and it corrupted the workings within all the modules. Can you reflash all the modules to completely wipe the modules from the interference caused by the electronic modification? Thanks.
You can try reflashing one module at a time and see what happens
@@slaterrockshop4564 awesome great. Thank you. Do you need to have a specific update or TSB to be able to update or can you just update and restore the modules regardless? Thanks.
@@ryanj1221 there's a way to just do a basic flash on a module. I can't remember where you navigate to get to it, but I remember it was way harder to find the right tab than it should be
Show me how to time my motor I just swapped from efi
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, just saved me the frustration of working it out with no Instructions 👍
My middle wire on my relay was hot.
My harbor freight 12,000 pound has three wires ports on top and one ground wire port on the bottom. I could not get my winch to work but was due to an internal wire short in my long wire to my switch from the relay box. Never felt that was the problem until it felt like the relay stuck. Now it is fixed with a new spice of wire.
U got more details of how u know if u got a internal short and what to do to sort it
Can you not just loosen the inlet manifold bolts on the head and move the whole manifold away from the head to lift it..?
You can definitely do that. You just have to be extremely careful with the knock sensors that are below the intake manifold. When the intake comes off it's prone to slip down and break both knock sensors
Thank's you very much for all !!!!!!
Followed this but all i get is solenoid clicking
Make sure you're battery is fully charged
@slaterrockshop4564 battery is strong and left truck running and still nothing guessing bad ground or positive
Forgot to ask what size Venturi did the carb have?
I am not sure
1.21
There are a lot of manufacturers of the replacement 2150 where did you purchase yours and how has it been doing over the last year
I have ran several of these 2150s that I bought off of Amazon for under $100. They do great, haven't had any issues. I just put one on a 1947 cj2a with a 225 v6.
Thanks for the reply
@marksfordtrucksrepairs1631 I actually just ordered another one for my 75 bronco, I will check and see what the venturi size is on it when I get back to the house
I just ordered one I am going to install it on a Inline 6-
@marksfordtrucksrepairs1631 mine ran well. I'm sure it would be better with a larger intake but they are very pricey.
when you get your brakes all set up an bled, have someone push the brake pedal and watch the master cylinder...after i installed this bracket i noticed my master cylinder would dive downward about 1/4 inch or more at full push...overtime this might fatigue the metal bracket...i constructed a saddle/bracket out of half of an 1-1/2" (might have been 2") pipe and bolted it to the two closest bolts on the steering box, the front of the master cylinder now sits nice and tight in the saddle with no movement...this solved the problem...i personally think they should have made this bracket a bit thicker.
Great build from the rock shop.
those telling you to move it to the left also use a Saginaw steering box up behind the bumper and relocate the pedals to the firewall.
I was trying to keep it original as possible so it would still have the old feel of a flat fender, but I realize a lot of folks go with those swinging pedals.
Woooo
This swapping thing is working out
Whoooooo!
Awesome ride, great job bringing it back to life!
What does E2 connect to on the transmission
It's the main power wire to the transmission solenoids, I can't remember what pin but it's in the main round connector on top of the transmission
Thanks
How about the starter signal wire to keep the oem LS starter wire in the harness.
I'm not sure what pin goes to the starter relay
Wondering about the caster angle after the revers ?
Not sure what mine came out to. It definitely changed it a lot because i didn't use the shackle mounts supplied in kit. If you use what comes with kit the caster doesn't change much
How mush?
Being from the old school of rock crawling I'm not sure if I would call this rock CRAWLING. Maybe rock slamming would be a better fit.
I would have paid to go and watch 😅 lots of power and big balls
the problem your having is you need to add an expansion tank to the system on the heater hose side the one closest to the big water inlet side I think it's a 3/4 inlet and that's where you run your steam pipe too and your overflow as well just like on stock setup
Wrong 🤦♂️ most LS swaps don’t have an expansion tank and they work fine
@@tylerseabook9423 It could be because how they have it setup that allowed the air to escape from the radiator and fill the block unlike a traditional Chevy which full from the bottom hose up to the thermostat by adding the expansion tank you get around this problem on other side of the thermostat it filling the block up first and then it works it way up to the top the hose and backwards filled Then you can finish talking it off from the radiator itself
Man I should’ve went. Great Vid.
Looks like a couple of guys will go home and build rock sliders. That was a great crew to run with. Thanks for the upload! 👍
Just found your video. Thank you for a quick common sense repair. A non dealer mechanic was quoting me $974.00 to do a full factory fix, for that over engineered piece of crap connector! Just ordered all the parts for $35. Saved me a LOT!! Thanks for bringing the sanity

Where did u get the distributor from?
Amazon
What did you do with the vacuum lines on the carb including the line that goes to the choke? Im currently switching from 1 barrel to 2 barrel just like you are in the video
You can plug the vacuum lines you don't need. The choke is supposed to have a heat tube that goes to exhaust
Ok thank you. The only problem. I'm having now is getting the timing right with the new hei distributor
