First, in 1960s and 1970s there was scare of global freeze. Since this did not produced desired effect it was replaced with @ hole in Ozone layer over Antarctica, this failed too. So they come up with a "global warming scam|" this failed too. as all the heat record from early 20 century was not broken. Now! new scare, "climate change" Change into what? Its not cooling, nor heating, so what is this all about? By the way, last 6 months here in UK freezes my ass so much, I plan to relocate some place warmer than this old fridge.

Electric bikes are not for me, neither are they environmentally friendly.

People spend too long thinking of the inherent sounds of different types of propulsion. I actually do wish we weren't doing this net zero thing, and I have concerns about what will happen to cars and bikes because of the change. But in the whole scheme of things, the sound isn't that important.
Obnoxious noise is a big part of biker culture and showing off. Same goes for many muscle cars, sports cars, and ricers with muffler delete.
Net zero is not really the goal. We could have had this 20 years ago with biofuels.

I don’t think I need a petrol engine to enjoy riding, in fact I could sometimes do without the buzzy feeling after a long ride. That said the current crop are to heavy, expensive and don’t cater to my taste, however ten years is a long time, and electric /hydrogen vehicles still have a lot of room to evolve maybe they can sort the problems out by then.
Motorcycles don't work well as BEVs. For weight and handling purposes, the battery space is limited (for cars, they can weigh up to 3.5 tons more easily). Then the charging issue is still not solved. Imagine a group of 16 people pulling up to the village's local charger, how long until all motorcycles are fully charged and they can take off again?

I always ride in a staggered position out of the blind spot for exactly this reason. Lucky escape.

Happy New Year. Here's hoping 2024 is drier than 2023... What bike are you running? I have long wanted to do a bike vlog but would not know where to start... Good luck with the channel.
Currently a V-Strom 650 XT. A great bike and so easy to ride. I'm hoping to get more videos done and released but feel a boat might be better at the moment. Inn terms of starting a Vlog, just get a camera, doesn't have to be anything special as I'm currently using an old Hero 3 and a cheap Akaso (when I remember to put it on the bike).
They do that to trucks in round abouts all the time. People being stupid and not paying attention
