I rarely leave comments. But I have been going down a rabbit hole of videos for "van life" and came across this one. Starts off hilarious, but you gotta add some more humor throughout the build process. I will steal some of your ideas like the foot pedal. I already thought of that myself and agree with you, it would conserve water. I am late to the game as always, but cheers for the build and the funny as hell humor. I hate you too. LOL.

Hi there bro. Moving next week to NYC. Gonna live in Harlem. I have my road bike here in homwcountry it is a TREK emonda ALR4. Here in my country I use the bike for exercise during weekdays and doing long distance during weekends (50-70kms) The main goal in NYC will commuting to job, but also will like to do some rides like the ones you do ! Do you recommend me to bring my bike with me or is it better if I just buy another one once in NYC. Any advice is truly appreciated.

Not sure what's happening this year, but last year the parks department of NYC said, "no stakes in ground" and that was a major factor in Keith not being able to put on this race which had quietly become quite a popular race!

Light materials but works very well

can you stagger the bikes diagonally \ so the handle bars of the lower bikes fall just behind the front wheel of the bike above it to gain the few precious inches?? here looking just to explore and expand knowledge on hanging bikes horizontally... I don't have clip-ons

Cool video man, I see you changing the camera angles and wondering if you have multiple cameras in the bike like during the race you had it facing backwards. I thought it was very cool to see the other bikers face expressions. Fun stuff! I would like to do it sometime.

A great build. 2 things are troublesome in my opinion, the height of bed, cannot sit straight in the bedroom. And the cabinets above your head, I’d hate to hit my head accidentally. It will also make it very claustrophobic.

Thanks for the great video I built a very simple 2017 136" Promaster which I purchased in 2019 (32,000mi). Rear shocks just changed at 50k for $150. Been doing my own repairs since 1972 hate doing it now but, old habits are hard to break. E brake shoe came loose and raised hell with the hub this job will be a bear. I agree it's a great vehicle. Funny how a former Jersey guy can i.d. a New Yorker in the first 30 seconds of his video. Happy trails!

The generator/ inverter/ battery combo might allow you to power your home's oil burner during an electrical outage. The burner motor takes 25 amps for a second then drops way down but the generator usually pops its breaker. Having the battery in the mix should buffer that. Generator is there just to charge the battery then. Could stave off frozen pipes. Hopefully you have gas heat. So that generator should come in handy. Alone it might fail to run an oil burner.

Thanks for doing this. Mine had 50,000 but I'll keep any eye out on the shocks. I'm good at regular maintenance and expect some stuff to go wrong as the mileage climbs. I really enjoy our videos. My wife and I do a lot of canoeing and use an Ebike for shuttles, I try to find an outlet to charge it.

At least you got 100,000 mine did that at 40,000 Right now I'm at 68,000 still haven't fixed it

Most Dodge vans, SUVs are junk have owned a couple and I have worked on several, junk,junk,junk!!! Wouldn't trust one on a road trip or for sure a camping trip with my family!!!! Think not!! Just saying!! Experience with them IDE think twice friends

I’m glad you made this! I’ve always wondered how the ProMaster holds up with the miles, FCA didn’t have the best record when it came to reliability but I’m happy to hear you’ve been lucky! Also good on getting the Genny, something like that is so versatile. More adventures please!!!! 😊

Last year I thought maybe I should get a new van instead of a new car as I hate all the screens and electronics they stuff into cars. The vans turn out to be way more $$$ than expected. Vans used to be dirt cheap. Yea, I'm older than you. Pickup trucks used to be cheap too. So I bought nothing.

I just purchased 3 of these racks and the installation was very easy after watching your video. Anybody consdering buying one of these racks will not be disappointed. They are a well made product and you will realize this once you hold one in your hand. Sure there might be a "cheaper" option, but at the end of the day you will not regret buying this system.

The first one where you hook the pedal, will it not cause any issues on my crank and the pedal itself?
