Just like anywhere else if you want dry weather go visit in summer. A couple of tips for you. You need to have some good Fish and Chips, they are delicious. If you do ever go to Ireland don't call it St Patty's Day. Patty is a girl's name, it's Paddy's Day. And finally, when you travel it's good to embrace the differences from home rather than declare them as "wrong" because they are different. Safe travels and have fun.

UK traffic lights are Red, Red+Amber, Green, Amber, Red. Anything other than Green means stop. Even green means proceed if clear and safe to do so! You should only go through an amber-only light if to stop would cause an accident.
