Absolutely amazing, Hugh Maynard was unbelievably good!

There are so many different approaches to this song. Pleading, remorseful, angry, it doesn’t matter the tone. The message comes through with truth each and every time. These children were thrown away by their country never to know their fathers or families on distant shore and were taught to live in shame. 50+ years on and the hurt remains.

It doesn't matter how long it has been since I first saw this number performed in the production. It doesn't matter that I know the message already. It is impossible to get through watching a performance of this without the waterworks being turned on. The real life children this song was written for are in their late 50's and early 60's now. For those whose fathers never came for them, I shudder to think how their lives transpired.

This song just chokes me up. Yes, the USA really messed up Vietnam, but two wrongs don't make a right. It's a fact that multi-racial children in Vietnam are badly discriminated against.

People really need to learn some theatre etiquette 🤦🏻‍♀️ Granted you are excited by the performance but be respectful of the performer and others near you. Chills, wow. I’ve loved this song for years, though never seen the show, or seen this man, what a performance, he really gave it all.

My mother is an American Airlines flight attendant who’s route on 9/11 was from her base in LAX to JFK, so the plays recount of her attitude is accurate. What makes Rachel Tucker stand out above the rest… is her salute to the World War II pilots. It might seem like nothing to most people, but it is a huge sign of respect to the majority of us still in aviation and it sets her apart from the rest. Well done!
