Hello & Welcome to PB3 Workshop!
This is a free-sharing online bike workshop that is conducted by Shifu@Bartley - Mr. William Wu. We hope to share basic hands-on maintenance topics for trifolds (Pikes, Brompton & 3Sixty) and to benefit fellow cyclist who tends to cycle more during COVID-19 as travels and other activities are restricted. All video recordings were done in compliance with relevant safe management measurement of the time of recording.
For a start, we will be covering topics like:
1) Front & Back Tyre Removal and Installation
2) Chain Removal via Magic Link
3) Deep cleansing of chain using degreaser or kerosene
4) Rear wheel removal, including tensioner, clean and install back with shifter adjustment
6) Bike Fitting
Moving on, we have in the pipeline the following topics:
7) Wheel Truing
8) Brake Adjustment
9) +/- Shifter Adjustment
10) Removal & Installation of Bottom Bracket & Crank
11) Changing of gear & brake cable
12) Chain Waxing

Installation of Vincita pannier bag to a Brompton
Was given a used Vincita pannier bag and decided to try it out on the coming KK trip. It can velcro on the stock B rack nicely but (1) too low and rubbing the gear chain on the drive side and (2) heel strike. So putting on my DIY hat I bended a Daiso cage into a U shape to raise the pannier bag above the axle so I can kick the kickstand. To overcome the heel strike, I move the case rear-wards to clear my Crocs. Use a thick cable tie to provide the support and velcro stripes, cutted inner tubes as rubber bands and with the stock bungee cord, I can relatively quickly remove that the pannier bag plus cage if I need to fold the bike.

Notice the noise and root cause to the tightness of the sprokets via circlip. I managed to reduce the noise by inserting an additional 0.1mm washer in between the 2 sprokects. Aceoffix Pikes Brompton and 3Sixty
