Best Pad Printer to Print Hard Hats
Using the Universal 200 LTC model to pad print hard hats has never been easier. With registration done on the plate, the setup is fast and easy.
Here we show you how we made a quick fixture to print on hard hats.
The Universal 200 LTC has the added benefit that it can print one color larger oval images at 80x180mm oval. The machine is shown on the Professional Pedestal which allows a drop in the fixture table to accommodate the large hard hat dimensions.
TTN has an entire lineup of pad printing equipment ranging from 1 color units to 6 color fully automated systems with robotic loading.

You didn't mention the figure 8 viscosity test that you did at 1:04. I think that part is important.

Thanks for the great question and comment. This rotational fixture has a 5 mm hole in the middle to attach a fixture to the top. The fixture can be one that we manufacture for this or can be as simple as a piece of wood or Lego baseplate, as shown in one of our other videos. We have seen some people actually glue or use double sided tape to affix their fixture to this table, too, but mounting with a screw is probably easiest and fastest.

Can I use automotive lacquer?
Thanks for the comment. Pad printing inks are very specific in that they require a certain viscosity to work. We have inks that mimic automotive coatings in terms of brightness, opacity, chemical resistance, and shine. I would suggest going with one of these inks that are designed to work with the printer, but you are welcome to run other inks in the printer. The way to success is making sure the ink can have the right viscosity and allow for good pickup from the pad.
