Ich höhrte dieses Lied zum ersten mal wenn ich 12 war. Jetzt bin ich 73. Marlene Diedrich singte dirses lied an der Front im 2. Weltkrieg für die Soldaten eine besondere Überraschung um die Morale hochzuhalten.... Die Welt ist nicht sehr verbessert; eher schlechter in vieler Hinsicht. This song and that film bring me back to when I was a 3 year old , one of my earliest memories is watching this

As Netflix's DVD service was ending, I chose Time Bandits as one of the final movies I'd hold onto and never have to return. Just finished rewatching it for the umpteenth time. I was 10 y.o. when this movie came out, and remember seeing it multiple times in the cheap theater, and watching it again and again on cable afterwards. Time Bandits may have been my first exposure to what mature, nuanced (but also wildly creative) filmmaking could be. It's a fantasy, but like all of Gilliam's work, with grim, sinister, and tragic undertones alongside hilariously funny moments. It's what fairy tales were meant to be before Disney got their simplistic, puritanical, lowest-common-denominator hands on them. The song sets a bizarrely perfect tone as the film ends: energetic but dreamlike, and the nonsense words somehow capture what Gilliam's movies do: take the viewer to places where words and logic can't reach.

Time bandits is my favorite movie of all time. I recently introduced my partners to it and they love it just as much as I do. A true classic

I remember hearing about the intended plans for the sequel years ago (Supreme Being wants to end the world and the Bandits are trying to prevent it from happening) and hoping it would happen somehow, even if at that point, it had already been over 16 or 17 years after the original. Even back then, people were saying it couldn't happen because some of the key players had already died. I looked back at that possibility today (3/11/23) and almost the entire original cast is gone and that utterly depresses me. Maybe it was for the best. This movie was lightning in a bottle and I don't think any sort of sequel or modern reboot could do it justice.

George was the best, a perfect balance between McCartney's arrogance and Lennon's bulls**t.

I love time bandits I am from the UK and I love this song by George Harrison and I love Sean Connery and Jon clesse in this film as well as Michael pealing as well as David Warner and director by Monty pythons Terry Gilliam

They don't make'em like this anymore. And sadly I don't think they ever will..... In my opinion I think that within film and music the true artistry has died and may never come back. And that's because it's all becoming generic. A good part of this is do to socalled "Multiculturalism", which is literally the opposite of its namesake and is literally destroying true culture among nations. Everything is bleeding together and originality among peoples is slowly being eroded from all corners of the planet. And it will not stop until its perpetrators figure out the wrong they've caused.
