did you have to move the window regulator out the way to get the latch out ? I've tried moving/manipulating the reg out the way but can't seem to get it to move ...
No I had to rotate the door latch up and out some weird way. But once I found a way cam right out and make sure your window is all the way up
i dont think i did anything with the window regulator but it was also a few years ago
did they make an overhead cam version mine has a chain on the top and different bolt pattern hawk 250?
What happened with the transmission did you got it fixed?
yeah i did i just ended up doing a JB weld on it and from what i know its still holding and hasnt leak my buddy owns that car now

@@mariomontiel8097 anytime... yeah i just grind down where the crack was and put jb weld on it let it sit for 24 hours and sanded it down smooth and never had anther issue
what timing belt did you use with the y8 head

I lost my push rod so i was wondering how long is the push rod
Can someone please help me? I have a 2021 Hawk DLX 250 and the muffler and secondary pipe are one piece. The exhast header pipe has an oxygen sensor. I cant just remove the muffler like I see you doing here and I cant reach the catalytic material because the muffler is welded to the exhaust pipe. They must have made a revision. Any suggestions?

I have same exact engine. But a different bike. Same fuel injection and everything. Did you have issues with the header glowing red and the engine heating way too much? I need to adjust my valves today fuck

I will be putting a 17 tooth sprocket on mine soon. I took the end from my exhaust off and cut the inside piece off. Did a few other mods so far
I’m gonna upgrade the rest to a 39 tooth
Best camera angle is pointed at the horizon. I prefer chin mounted gopro angle. That's what i use. Makes it look more like the viewer is the one riding the motorcycle.

Plus i live about 4 miles from my work so not to bad. ALl in all tho for a first time bike would you recommend this?

I can't find that fluid anywhere and I had the same transfer case but mine's getting bad so I had to change it till the day at least for now and it's been making a roaring sound ever since I thought it was my newly rebuilt transmission but the fluid looks great in it and there's no metal in either one or the transfer case yet at least I might have to go with something till I can find this fluid and I don't know what to use there's nothing on these transfer cases that's how I found your video do you have a suggestion on what to use if I can't find this fluid?

Does your speedometer ever jump up and down over bumps? Mine does and can’t figure out how to fix it.
No mine hasn’t done that but the fuel gauge did kinda stop working can fill it up and it still says there only 4th of a tank

Helpful video! I have about 45 miles on my DLX and will do the valves this weekend. I changed at about 4 miles to 15w40 Rotella T4, changed it again last night when I got home from work. Lots of silver from break-in. I installed the NGK plug already. I'm having issues with losing power though. I can be cruising and it bogs down, then comes back up and back down. Does it at different speeds and throttle positions. I'm hoping adjusting the valves will help with that. Its funny because most people put the aftermarket exhaust on for power and sound but I want to make the bike quieter without losing power. I didn't know how loud this was from the factory and I don't want to piss my neighbors off in the morning.
I feel ya man, same. I just bought a dlx and I'm having the same issues. Almost no power till I open the throttle till a certain point then BAM full power, but the second I let off it's like NO power. Did adjusting the valves help you out with your issues?

Yo brother! So I swapped to the pod and I love it but I finally got around to removing the airbox and she backfiring a bit. Should the efi correct itself or did you do something with that tube that was coming out of the front of the airbox?
The China efi does not do well at correcting itself you either need to add a resistor to the the iat sensor or change the parameters in the map “tune it” beyond that they’ll definitely make some power especially once you swap cams port the head and allow it to really breathe!
Me and my brother are planning to grab one so we can put it through the ringer. Great bike for sure and you can't beat the price. I think a lot under estimate the Chinese bikes these days, they have come a long way.

Yes I did it don’t sound to bad it’s definitely loud enough for sure but I also have radio in my helmets
Idle should be 1500 + or - 100 Valve lash should be .003 not gonna hurt anything to set them at .005 like you did but figured it was worth mentioning...it does vibrate because it’s solid mounted but it’s also not a counterbalanced engine...don’t let your chain slack go it will eat your chain slider...the throttle body can be swapped from a Honda for better flow

@@XdisfunctionsX22 no that’s very understandable brother...these manuals seem as if they all say so something different for whatever reason...even though they’re all the same Honda cg clone motors 🤷♂️ came up with a nice & easy ignition coil upgrade if your looking to make some more power I put a link to the coil in a quick video I made...hope you enjoy the bike! They’re really a fun little dual sport to own

Tbr7 came with a skid plate if that helps you track the part down.

Not even broken in yet and you're expecting more out of the box! Mine got much better power and less vibration after 1k miles and four oil changes
My hawk still does not have spark on spark plug, I emailed txpowersports hopefully they will send me a new CDI box and ignition coil soon, brand new bike not even 20 miles on it
Dang that rough check the fuses by the battery there also one up by the tree near the forks

@@Krotos1970 hmmm weird the cdi go bad my guess be coil for sure but check all the wires make sure they all have a good connection I know the wires that come off of the stater out of the passenger side motor and goes up and plugs in those wires actually pulled out and I had to re pin them

I just went cruising in the country yesterday with new break in OIL...! What a great motorcycle no problem at the DMV...! It cost two extra dollars on my progressive insurance policy to earn and ensure my hawk...! I have three other bikes one of them is a 94 Harley I purchase brand new in 1994....! But when I saw the HAWK Dual sport for that price I thought what a great motorcycle for running around town and cruising out to my favorite trails as long as you take care of it will probably run forever I really enjoy mine.....!
Yeah for sure the price you get for a brand new bike it’s a great deal why I got mine to go to and from work on instead of my road star 1600cc.... but for the price of this bike vs a old used name brand it beats name brand all day for sure
@@XdisfunctionsX22 ... I agree with you my friend , it’s very easy to zip around on...! I love my Harley for sure.....! And I have a 1961 Cushman eagle with a 670 V-Twin in it...! I it was bone stock for 13 years, but I had a knee operation several years ago and got where I could not kick the old Cushman husky engine...! So I put about $2700 into the old Cushman Eagle ....! It is easy to get around on and it’s a real head turner...! But for the price I paid for the CVTECH Torque converter and the Ed Evans Jack shaft drive I could’ve purchased this HAWK ....! , but they were not as easily available as they are now....! In fact I just came in the house after putting about 50 miles on my HAWK ...., ( this oil change ) I am trying to break this motor in properly so it will last many years....! I think this is perfect for what I wanted something to goof around on some trails and Back roads, and easy to hop on and maneuver around Town on ...The Best Motorcycle Deal on the Market.....!!!
I have issues with mine when its cold also it seems to have a surgeing at low throttle. im thinking of changing over to a carb
If you change over to carb you have to get a new ecm
@@XdisfunctionsX22 finding that will be a trick. im not sure what my lag is i have tried everything i can think of with no luck. i know its bot supposed to run like this or at least i hope not. i have a lifan kpr and it runs perfect cold or hot.

Spark plug and valve adjustment for sure and don’t try to max it out the more mile the better it will run let the motor break in a little more

@@ryanbaker7071 that air filter helps a lot but go 2 mm smaller I had to use some of the two from the old airbox to make mine fit so if you got 2 mm smaller should fit no problem
I am waiting on the truck to get here with my Hawk. By the time I get mine it will have been a month, but I would have had it last week if it wasn't for snow storms that we are still dealing with. I look forward to how you like it after you get some more miles on it. I bought the standard hawk.

@@XdisfunctionsX22 I ordered my bike from Orion and they assembled mine so that took extra time. I think they usually get assembled bikes out between 2 and 3 weeks. Looking now I should have just put mine together, but here I don't have a garage so I figured it was worth it to let them do it. I didn't want to be stuck doing it in a snow storm.
