Psych - "Mr. Yin Presents..." Final Montage
The final moments of the Psych season 4 finale, "Mr. Yin Presents..." The scenes include Shawn/Abigail, Lassiter/Juliet, Henry, Shawn/Gus/Mary, Mr. Yang, Mr. Yin, and an enigmatic photograph. The song is "I Go to the Barn Because I Like The" by Band of Horses. I do not own any of the images or music. It is property of NBC Universal, USA Network, and Psych. "Mr. Yin Presents..." is probably the best episode of Psych to date. It was written by James Roday and Andy Berman and was also directed by Roday. The original broadcast date was March 10, 2010.

this song just makes it even better
Leaving aside for a moment about the content of the movie, i just interested in movie technology. Now it's hard to find the very early version of this trailer. What we can easily find in youtube is the 4K Blu-ray remastered version which was done in 2012 if i'm not wrong. This video is like the DVD remastered version according to the date release of the video (2007) and some old artifacts. This version is like few step closer to the original 1962 quality. But still hard to find the VHS-like remastered version from the 90s 80s 70s or even original one from 1962.

Kind of surprised that “courtroom drama” was given its own category. It just seems like too narrow of a genre to have done so. Also surprised that “horror” didn’t have a category. I’m guessing if so, the predictable selections would have certainly included: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Shining, Nosferatu, Jaws, Alien, ??
Henry cleaning off the "O" on the Psych Office window is such an underrated moment. The father/son relationship is such an important aspect of Psych, Henry looking after the business Shawn and Gus created tells you how proud he is of them.
Flat out miss Psych!
Best show ever made. I can’t watch it too many times.

I think it was because of the trauma.
She was crying because she believed she was going to die in those last moments. It must’ve been horrifying.

@@TwizzlerC dude i’m not kidding when i tell you i tear up every time i think of it. idk what it was as a kid but it got me and it stuck with me. that song is one that i listen to at very dark times bc i’m a fucking self sabotaging idiot and i love to feel the pain bc all i can think about is lassiter and juliet. everything else hurts so bad i shake but now being able to read his lips and really see how fucking terrified she was, and how much he cared for her… shit i’m getting chills writing this. people can call me dramatic cause i literally am but this shook me to the core and i haven’t been the same since.

Was waiting for this. I didn't get teary eyes on Deez nups. But the next episode, where Shawn is feeling depressed and imaging how things could be different if he'd just made one choice different. His depression is my depression in that episode. Because I love Shules. They're just ♥️

This is one of the best episodes and I cry every time. Beautiful sad couple of minutes and I think that is a band of horses song, perfect. Shawn and Gus at Mary's grave. Ugh
psych is such a phenomenal show. they really know how to do good comedy AND drama, with the normal case of the week episodes we get and these finales.
Mary dying always broke my heart. He was just an odd and misunderstood guy, who was brave and wanted to help. Heck his first thought as he's dying is that his rodent friend will be okay. I don't know if it's just that I've worked and lived with a lot of "odd" people in my life...who are judged and/or alone. Mary makes me think of them and I just wish he could have been happy and safe. Almost no one being at the funeral is also a stab in the gut for me.
Mary was such a cool character and also touched my heart for some reason 💛 probably because i can relate with how odd he is and how he doesn't have many friends lol. And the dream sequence from spych the movie when Mary visits Shawn and sings him a song on the ukulele just makes my heart happy lol💛 (anyway im nerding out because i found a community that likes this show too 😂🍍)

The change from Yin caring about Yang and Shawn at the end of this clip and his blasé, "I don't care about you" in his final episode bugs me.
Why is this such a satisfying ending? The racquetball bit seems, on the face of it, ridiculous. But it works so well; puckish and bittersweet... I don’t why I love this sequence (could be the Band of Horses) but I do.
