I'm just curious, would you have any interest in playing the Metal Gear Solid series? I am wondering if it's your kind of game because it makes heavy use of cutscenes (gameplay is also excellent) and you seem like a woman of action at heart. You do have some story driven games in your playlist but most of those are open world which means you can set your own pacing. They are my favorite games of all time and i even consider 1 and 2 the best games ever made, so i would love to watch you play them if it's something that interests you. Edit: You seem to really be into movies, that's also a plus for giving it a try. Nowadays the word cinematic mostly means a boring game with story that bores you to tears but MGS is cinematic in the original sense. Even on the PS1 it had incredible style. There's really nothing else like it.

I do not think Resnov is "evil" for this necessarily... I think he was a man deeply hurt and ultimately betrayed by the land he called home. At this point, he'd been in Vorkuta for a little less than 20 years and he longed for a chance for vengeance against the men who wronged him and killed his best friend who deserved to be known as a hero. It's complicated... I get Mason's feeling of betrayal at what Resnov did.

37:05 The "Numbers" Brainwashing worked half-way on a logistical standard. But, when it came time to actuate orders, Mason was resistant to comply with the orders the numbers were giving him. Most likely, 1.) Due to his strong opposition to his captors which already, in gamer terms, was a factor of resistance. And 2.) Mason himself, like Steiner said, was an atypical subject with a naturally very strong will beyond what seemed normal. Put those two together and it made for a helluva defense to attempt to bypass. Mason was thus abandoned to his fate as just another prisoner of Vorkuta to be forgotten by time and "rot" as Dragovich said. Resnov was also a prisoner at Vorkuta. He already knew of Nova 6 and probably learnt that the chemical weapon and knowledge of it had survived the sinking and probably learnt about what was going on behind closed doors at Vorkuta. Perhaps he was friends with Mason already but had learnt he was one of the subjects. Now, whether or not he befriended Mason only to weaponized him against those he hated and/or if he was already a friend in Vorkuta before, is I suppose up for interpretation. However, even if he was a friend, his hatred for Dragovich, Steiner, and Kravchenko was greater... So, Resnov told him all about Dragovich, Steiner, and Kravchenko. He used his brainwashing from the three evil ones to his advantage and "sabotaged" him. Instead of following the numbers completely and to the letter, he would instead react to any stimuli concerning those three instead. When he received the Numbers Broadcast, it would trigger the hatred for them. Because Resnov became a friend in a wretched hellhole that was Vorkuta and had found a "brother" in him, and Mason already having negative feelings towards Dragovich and the others, it allowed for the "programming" from Resnov to work, as Mason was more open and receptive to this sentiment as it came from a friend. THAT'S WHY IT WORKED, when the Evil Three's programming did not.

I was wrong on one part. It wasn't Halo 3, it was Halo 4. It was that game which reminded me of the Tron Legacy movie. My bad, Jonesy 😅. After Halo 2 and 3, do play Halo 4. It's that video game with full of Tron Legacy movie's idea.

I like the way you play with extreme caution as if you were really there. That's also my style of gameplay.

You seem to have improved a bit, at melee combat, at tracking, at using shields as a weapon in place of bullets; for the flood, at using cover, at regenerating shields between engagements, at finishing enemies, at knowing when to not loiter... and yeah, I think you did just get TK'd after that

Guess it’s valid to say Happy Heretic Hunting?😂😂😂. But on a serious note here’s a handy tip, if you hit the corpse of an infected elite u can break their bodies into tiny pieces so that the small flood (aka the infection forms) can’t resurrect them

As the saying goes, it ain't over 'til it's over... especially when you don't see their dead corpse or junked carapace 😸 Until such time, *everything* is still on the table... and, even then, the Halo universe provides a back door for those clever enough 🔄

Hey, I've been watching your videos from the first Combat Evolved! I wanted to drop a couple of quick comments to highlight things you may have missed/story elements that aren't obvious with extracurricular viewing/reading. - In the previous video you hit the nail on the head, the Arbiter was branded with the mark of the heretic, a fate was than death as far as the covenant is concerned. Prior to joining the covenant, the role of the arbiter was an honorable one, however under the rule of the prophets, the arbiters are essentially glorified suicidal pawns, and the role has been used to quash dissenters, and opposition to their rule. - Previously, you found a terminal talking about the actions of an elite called "Thel Vadamee". Thel Vadamee is the name of the arbiter, and a lot of the terminals in this game talk about him, who he is as a person and a leader, as well as what he was doing during the first Halo and before. - Quick reminder that you can use The Arbiters camoflague even in combat. If you feel you're getting focused too much, get to cover and activate camo, this can allow you some time for shields to recharge, or the ability to get a good angle on your enemies. I hope you continue to enjoy this series! Also, do you enjoy RTS games? If you do, there is a gem of a game called Halo Wars that takes place prior to the events of Halo CE. Even if you're not a fan, it's worth looking up a compliation of the cutscenes, which were gorgeous for their time, and a really cool story that, along with the sequel, ties back into the main Halo plot

The Flood got a bit of an upgrade in this game, those little guys can reanimate dead bodies now, that energy sword is going to be your best friend. Reminder that you can use your invisibility as the Arbiter to escape danger, but you'll uncloak if you attack or the timer runs out.

Great video, the opening part did have a dark atmospheric feel to it, a dark atmospheric space game is the best.
