Rest in peace with all sailors of ww2 both allied and axis😢
To all the sailors who died on both sides we honor you and respect your resting places😢
Quite literally blown to pieces.
Isn't so invincible now innit?
I have a field bible that my graete grandfather was carrying on the day it was sunk
The only video of the Bismarck firing her guns at the Hood was taken from aboard this ship.
Why Chinese music?
長門よ!安らかに眠ってください。
The German U-Boat was U55, the same U-Boat that sank the RMS Carpathia, the rescue ship of the Titanic, later in July of that year. The commander of U55, Wilhelm Werner, was such an evil S O A B*. He was probably the evilest U-Boat commander of the war. Bless the people of the Carpathia and the Rewa. Wonderful footage of the wreck nonetheless.
Why america not place this on museum
And yeah that is she now
Wonderful detailed clear images , excellent video.... But, by showing such a close-up of the train crossing the viaduct, it doesn't quite show the size and majesty of the Ribblehead Viaduct... Maybe, as the train neared the Station end of the viaduct, a quick pan out, to show the whole length of the viaduct, would have been even better ?
Only just found this. My Great grandfather was the master of one of the two tugs towing the Fisgard and both tug masters / crews helped save hands from the Fisgard
Very interesting, thank you for sharing
Amazing to think this was less than 300 yards from where the bomb went off and the ship essentially fell into the hole where the ocean used to be, and then millions of tons of water came crashing back down onto her
30c at 30metres
it's scary to imagine - more than 1,000 people are lying here.
My great great great uncle died on fisgard in 1914
Wow that was one hell of an explosion add on the oxygen rich water and it’s falling to shreds.

Misuse of these brave ships led them to their doom. They should never have fought in a battleline. They were designed for hit and run not for being target pratice for german gunners. David Beatty was a foolhardy leader, but his sailors paid the highest price for him.
Very interesting wreck! 🤙💦
👍
Wow , and to think I found such a great video researching what the B in Cherry B stood for.
❤ Flying Scotsman
How and the f****** world is that f****** ship vertical?!
Wasn’t it vertical?
yes, and it shows that wreck is halfway buried in the seabed
Now that is a picture worth seeing!!!!
RSM George Burns (Grt Grandfather) went down on this ship on his way back home to Blighty having fought in the trenches . His widow and two small sons had been awaiting his arrival ….
Sensational!
Can the remains of the cars on board be seen at any point in this video? I can’t spot them
Awesome
❤😺❤
My grandads ship sank this
Probably the most pointless loss of the whole battle, they needn't have died at all if not for reckless leadership.
This has to be one of the greatest explosions in naval history. the ship was ripped apart.
Such bullshit that they sank her just because they were looking for somewhere to stick their nuclear budget, she shouldve been restored and placed alongside the Wyoming and Texas.
For those in peril on the the sea God rest them
May those who went down with HMS Charybdis rest in peace
Very interesting, but the music I found is rather irritating and detracts. Otherwise, excellent.
I’m just discovered my great uncle was a stocker on her ALBERT CARRINGTON
Why is everyone's great uncule on this ship mine was to
Very haunting, one of my wife's relatives, stoker first class William Greenhill is still there. RIP
Great
The music really suits this one, not too instrument heavy and well balanced.
Luckily not when it sank. RIP to those lost.
Hopefully these ships are protected from scrap merchants.
