I've always been an early riser, the morning time is amazing. My workday is generally 8 AM to 4 PM so waking up early gives me time to enjoy myself. Even on weekends. Usually I'm up around 5 AM to 5:45 AM during the darkest part of winter (December and January) and anywhere from 3:30 AM to 4:45 AM in June. I love how the morning sun just pours into my bedroom window and also my kitchen window. It's so nice making breakfast and looking outside watching it get light out. Another awesome thing I love about being up early is before the sunrise (at least during the August through April timespan) you can walk outside and just look at the stars. The night sky right before sunrise is so beautiful. Just watching that tiny patch of blue in the east against a black sky grow brighter and fill the sky with blue brighter and brighter, observing Venus in the morning, it reminds you how wonderful things really are. One really cool trick you can do in the early morning is cast a shadow with Venus. It's actually bright enough that before sunrise it casts a faint shadow like the moon and sun do, albeit less pronounced.
