From my experience buying top end pens from Amazon has been usually positive. I think buying pens that were sourced through Amazon Japan or buying directly from Amazon Japan increases your chance of getting a truly new pen.😊 Also, Pelikan pens are extremely juicy and wide even when compared to other European nibs. Also have you tried using Micro-Mesh sanding of your scratchy nibs? I’ve only had the courage to smooth steel nibs, but they can make a scratchy nib smooth or at least usable.

May I ask where you bought your LV planner/notebook cover?

I'm waiting on my first pens to arrive and am starting with basic black, but it's nice to see a range or browns here. I really want to try a brown and i don't think you're colors are boring at all. They are earthy and cozy.

Love the notebook! I ordered 2 and if it was 200 sheets it would be the perfect notebook. Love that it was 252 pages but needed a few more and I would be covered for the year :-)

I recently acquired a Pilot Custom 823 with a medium nib. It writes beautifully, but it is too wet for my taste.

such lovely pens! 💛 and pardon the unsolicited advice but i just got back from travelling with fountain pens and they def won’t take them away for their nibs being sharp :) just make sure they are stored nib up when you’re flying (i took my pen case out and put it in the back pouch of the seat in front of me). (i also wrapped them in paper towel and they were all fine!)

Such beautiful pens. I have been eyeing a few Platinum pens, sadly out of my budget at the moment. The Sensuke, Chai Latte and hachimonjiya are my favorites. If I had the budget, Id buy all three of those. No judgment because I say you buy what you like and enjoy them to the fullest.

When people refer to a "grail pen," they typically mean a highly coveted writing instrument that is currently beyond their reach. Once acquired, the status of a "grail pen" fades away. A pen you already own cannot become your grail pen.

I have the 823 and the Platinum.. I really love them both

My first Japanese fountain pen was this one. The amber colour with the gold trim looks great. I have a medium and its super smooth. It's such a great price in Australia for a gold nibbed pen. I've had it inked with Akkerman SBREBROWN for more than 6 months. Writes as soon as the nib hits the paper every time. I travel by plane with my fountain pens every other week. I usually take 5 with me on a trip (that's what my pen case holds). I have no problems with ink leakage if I carry the pens with me and put the pen case in the seat pocket with the pens nib up. Converters, piston fills, vacuum fills, all good. You can even write with them on the plane once you reach cruising altitude if you need a fountain pen fix, just not a good idea on the way up or on the way down.

I had similar feelings on the 823, didn't understand hype, and definitely didn't think it would be worth price tag, but when I found one on Goulet's "bottom shelf" at a reduced prince I went for it even though it was a fine, and I typically don't like Japanese fine nibs. I normally go for the medium or broad for those. I have a sailor fine and a platinum fine as well and there is no comparison, the custom 823 is a completely difference writing experience. So glad I made the leap It is one of my favorite nibs for smoothness, and it is still one of my go to pens, over 2 years later. The only real downside for me is the clip. I much prefer the sword like design of the custom 92. It is just so funny to me that we had the same skeptism and we both loved the pen anyway.

OMG I THOUGHT THESE WERE ALL SOLD OUT!? Where and How can I secure one? XD She's gorgeous. So happy for you!! ♥The way the nib writes beautiful wet lines when you put some pressure on it, I love it! And yes, they're meant to be wet and written with LARGE LARGE letters lol!! So beautiful. It definitely looks like it'll be hard to write with fast, normal daily writing. I would definitely be using this to practice spencerian/american cursive style writing with this nib. Lady rose is a drier flowing ink, too. I bet it will be a gusher with any average-wet ink.

I love my blue black scribo.

Definitely the best Scribo Feel ever released, at least for me. The only problem I see is the colour of the trim. I know, no other would look so well and elegant but …strangely I need a gold or rose gold trim to fully enjoy the writing experience. I am waiting for Scribo to launch a similar f-pen with beige or brown material and RGT or GT. Anyway, I still love even looking at this pen, absolutely gorgeous! I see that the flex is superb. It is your video that made me buy my Leonardo Momento Zero 2.0 Angel Skin. I wanted to try something new and I bought it with F flex. It took me some time to get used to the ‘bounciness’ of the nib :). It is also so juicy that now watching your review I consider buying the Scribo with EF flex too. Thanks for sharing the beauty with us!
