We are Clay and Maria, RV adventurers from Alabama/Texas, with a love of nature, new experiences, and finding Our Road Less Traveled. We travel in a RAM 3500 with an East to West Ahara 365RL 5th Wheel RV. We love National Parks, finding hidden gems and have a spontaneous streak that will take us anywhere from Niagara to the Keys or California to NYC! We love to go, and are most at peace on the open road, walking a backwoods trail, or taking in a majestic waterfall or mountainside.
We took our journey full time in August of 2022 and to us, this is the American Dream. Our Road Less Traveled is simply the road that most don't take. Living the 9-5, four bedroom house, paycheck to paycheck is what most people do. We decided it was time to take things a different direction. Now we have the freedom to work from the road, see family and friends at leisure, and explore some amazing places in this beautiful country along the way. We find that the journey is often better than the destination.

I have a quick question before getting any further into this, do they provide the campgrounds that you go to? And is there a way to avoid duplicate people coming in trying to do the same job? Other words are there enough campgrounds out there that they provide you to go to without duplication or overlap.
There are plenty of campgrounds and they have a system that makes sure only 1 couple is workng it.
Don't let haters get you down. There's always going to be those who can't say something nice, whether it is because they are jealous or don't understand the true nature of what they are griping about, is anyone's guess. You shouldn't feel the need to explain your choices.

I just broke a suspension hanger on our triple axle. Realized i need to do a suspension refresh and after doing research i just found out about all this with the wet bolts and MoRyde shackle system. I'm running the CRE3000's too and like you, i do all my own repairs on my RV and feel like i know the rig inside and out. Boy was i wrong and did the exact same thing as you with the suspension. I'm upgrading to the AllTrek 4000's, full system and upgraded 8k axle springs, reinforcing the hangers and installing hanger cross members. Good luck and happy travels!

1 Caveat on the TP, it is MUCH better to use TP that says "Septic Safe". This doesn't mean it can't be the same TP you might use in your house, but it is MADE to break down more readily. Don't waste your money on the RV Butt Napkins or whatever brand name is trying to tell you you HAVE to have RV TP, just look for septic safe TP.
We use Charmin and unique tank treatments with plenty of water. No clogs and no smells going on 2 years now.
I've got a 2024 ram 1500. Just brought it into the shop for the same thing. Mine recognizes your request to find a location but then keep searching and says it can't find anything. Even when you load the locations in there it still won't find them. Have been told if there's some sort of an upgrade coming third quarter but not to hold my breath. I'll just use my phone navigation.

@@OurRoadLessTraveled Thanks I'll keep this. The service rep said they are being told not to replace any radios or screens until at least the 3rd quarter when their update will be coming out. They don't want an older not updated radio being replaced before their upgrade.
Apparently your retiring from this or you wouldn't put it on CZcams and flood the market. It is a great way to work and travel though, but you get thousands of people having to do a minimum of eight campgrounds a year, this isn't going to last long.
Brian, we are not those types of people. Maria still works this job and is in the process of finishing one as I type this. There are thousands of parks so the supply is not really limited. Some people do it for a living, and some, like us, do it for extra cash. We like to share how we fund our travels, because we don't do it through paid promotions. The company could add on 200 couples and it would not affect us in the slightest.

Don’t most people just use Google and Google maps when seeking out business? It’s seems like it would work better if the business advertised with discounts and coupons on the campground map as opposed to just advertising the business itself.
Some do offer discounts in the ads they place. Most campers are in an area that they are not familiar with. Honestly, I don't think any anyone trusts bought and paid for google reviews. Personal recommendations is still the best most trusted for of advertising. The parks offer that service. There may be 10 pizza joints in a town, they recommend the best, not the one that is ok.
Over 65 you still pay property taxes.

Elkhart Campground could use this but at least their water is better than it was 2 years ago.

Honestly he's a former boxer. He studied and learned everything he could about building an RV park and then did everything his self. Literally dug the trenches and laid the pipping. We love coming here. it in our top three parks we go to.

what i dont like is people getting on youtube trying to explain the cost of rv living when it makes no since. so many people not going to visit 18 states, some wont travel at all because they are saving for house. videos like this only discourage people not to RV anymore. People assume just because you want to rv full-time, you want to travel the country.
