    I loved your video. Really explanatory and well documented. Thanks a lot. Would you recommend using crushed egg shells as calcium supply? Or is it risky?

    • @thegreatinvertebrate
      @thegreatinvertebrate Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you 🖤 I gather my eggshells after breakfast and just rinse them with warm water and let them dry, then I just crush them by hand into random size pieces and put them in the enclosures. Most of the isopods even like the leftover membrane on the shell!

    can egg shells work as a good source of calcium?

    • @thegreatinvertebrate
      @thegreatinvertebrate Před 2 měsíci

      Of course! To minimize the smell you can rinse the eggshells with tap water and let them dry before adding them to your isopod enclosure. (Also, you could just chuck them in there..egg goo and all)

    • @thegreatinvertebrate

      Yes! A fellow breeder has some C. murina "glacier" and some "Florida Oranges" from me and has been working to make a yellow morph the past year, though they haven't done so successfully yet. A few have produced but none that could be line bred this far. I'd love to see someone actually do so! 😊
