i feel like the concept of key quests is more frustrating than the actual quests most of the time, they could have really easily removed the “key quest” tag on saving the classic yokai and it wouldn’t feel forced at all.

I've played through the remakes of the first two Star Ocean games and I still don't really know what I should think of this series. The stories feel incredibly undercooked and the gameplay is probably the most broken I've seen in any JRPG. The simplest reasonn I have for not really gelling with Star Ocean though is because the games always felt like "the Tales of series but worse". But anyway, great video as always!

When you think about it, Nagito's luck coming through in his death, with Chiaki (his target) picking the poisoned can, isn't a stretch. In fact, that 1-in-6 chance exactly mirrors what happened in the octogon in the funhouse, where he played russian roulette with 5 bullets and still got the blank.

I think you are wrong, you still gets TP from being beaten. Maybe less, I can't remember. I don't know if they fixed that later or what, but I played this new version. I overall liked the improvements. What I really find that sucks is introducing hidden endings that require you to search internet to activate because they made no sense on the plot development.

I literally just came here to say that Kirumi couldn't have actually left Ryouma's body where she killed him, because her entire goal was getting out of the game, and for that there had to be a trial, and for a trial to happen, there had to be a body discovery announcement

Danganronpa 1s 3rd trial is way worse. Its so obviously celeste since out of all the witnesses who saw the robot suit, she was the only ine left alive. She also leads the whole grouo around the building so its very obvious shes plotting something. And the fact that hina just believes hiro is the culprit, despite the fact that he was locked in a locker and also couldn't bemd down in the suit. I feel like the characters in dr1 just act like dumbasses so the can make makoto look smarter

I played and 100% paper Mario color splash last week. I had a ton of fun with it. It definitely has problems but overall it was really enjoyable and I do think more people should give it a chance

I have a weird relationship with RPGs and by that I mean Mario RPGs because they are the only RPGs I have ever played. Basically I don’t like battling unless it’s an important battle. Like I love the boss battles, but I hate fighting just normal enemies on the overworld and what not and I hate having to grind. Like I just want to continue the story I don’t wanna have to level up 500 times before I can. Honestly me not liking normal battles in RPGs is probably the reason I like paper Mario color splash so much. For a lot of people the battle system ruins the game for them, but I don’t care about the battle system at all. I never want to fight normal enemies in any RPG so it makes no difference to me. Color splash does have a bad battle system but it just doesn’t affect me since I just don’t care💀. So honestly most RPGs probably aren’t for me

nah i still think a lot of the edgier jokes and direction of the game being lessoned kinda diminishes some of those moments. Freedom Black specifically was one of the harder laughs the game gave me due to just how bold and out of nowhere it was whilst being so obvious; subverting the subversion. I dunno, seems to me like those things were there for a reason, and having them removed does just come off as a sign of the times for me.

Never played the original versions, so this is likely bias talking, (also got them months after release so the patches likely improved my experience from yours,) but I still like the DEs, they still have the heart of Painful and Joyful (as far as I can tell based on older videos,) and that's what matters. You're welcome to not like them obviously but I didn't find them to be dumpster fires. Edit: Oh also Joyful is good, ya'll are just uncultured.
