This is the same company that thought a good easter egg is searching in a very lowkey desk *for 50 times,* without any indication to even hint to do so. That was RE2, and that easter egg was hidden *for more than a decade* before hackers and even developers broke the silence. _Turns out many of the devs _*_had forgotten about it too._* So yeah, not surprised at the anal-retentivity of that heart piece quest.

The Anju & Kafei quest is the most beautiful story ever told in Zelda. When I first played Majora's Mask, I never thought I'd find myself bawling my eyes out over a love story IN A ZELDA GAME. I loved completing it. Seeing the story through was worth each and every bit of effort!

Ah yes, Don Jirro's Mask. To explain: "Don Gero" is pronounced with a hard "G" (like the name "Gary," but replacing the last syllable with an "o" sound). "Gero" is the onomatopoeia Japan assigns to the sound a frog makes.

I can very well understand why the windwaker piece trading is bothersome to so many, but in my perspective, the first time I did it was so fun, because I could find new and better things to trade each time, it wasn't just the heart piece, but also the pieces I traded, found and collected that made it worth my time

I'm late to the party, this has been sitting in my watch later for a while lol. Glad to see I'm not the only one who hates those damn frogs in Majora's Mask. If I were to make another sequel video to you, that one was at the top of my hit list, but you summed it up perfectly. No heart piece should make you have to essentially replay half the main quest of the game...in a game already built upon the concept of repetition. Great vid as always!

I LOVE The Minish Cap, as it is the first game I ever played in my life! It's my childhood! I have completed this game so damn many times! And I say: fuck this heart piece 🤣 I NEVER finish a Zelda game without getting all the heart pieces. But this is the one exception! Not to mention you can't even GET this heart piece before finishing the game because the final figurines are unlocked AFTER finishing it! I don't like it when collectables are locked behind a finished game (when the credits roll) unless the game has some story left to tell. So yeah, this is the one heart piece that will trigger every completionist 😅

I loved this mechanic it was definitely worth it just get the mystery shells potion by beedle it was definitely fun

I really like all the levels in game. Dire Dire Docks I'd put last, followed by Cool Cool Mountain and then Tiny Huge Island. My Top 3 would be controversial: Tick Tock Clock, Shifting Sand Land and Hazy Maze Cave

The Gatcha statuette heart piece in minish cap is the worst for me, its mostly RNG and you need EVERY statuette to get it

I remember playing this in 8th grade with my friend. We played so much we were getting into the millions on horse😆 the most competitive game in my school at the time. Kids brought their ps2s to homeroom to compete.

I went through this quest and failed at getting the mask from the shop cus I was 1 second too slow... Tatls response is so defeating "You know what you have to do now" I let out the longest sigh of my life to play the song of time

Hm … when i played this some few years ago someone told me to always bet only 1 single shell … i think i never had to grind for shells that way and only had to do lots of draws … which were not too bad as there were enough successful draws inbetween the duplicates for it to not feel tedious … (Also I didn't see it as a way to get the Heartpiece but as a way to get figurines)

I love how they fixed some of the backtracking in the remake

You can cheese #3 by staying at the very edge of the map. Enemies will appear less and you’ll still have plenty of time.

The worst heart piece for me is still the one related to the Wind Waker Sinking Ships mini game. There are actually two heart pieces attached to this game: the first you win if you beat the game in less than 24 moves, the second if it’s less than 20 moves. This wouldn’t be so bad if the game weren’t entirely luck-based - there is virtually no skill playing this Battleships ripoff. I wasted so many hours getting those heart pieces, and learning that a community tool had to be developed to help people give a best estimation of where the enemy ships are just further emphasizes how awful this mini game is. Not to mention the second heart piece requiring less than 20 moves isn’t even given directly - you’re given a treasure map leading to the heart piece, which wastes your time even further.

Digging minigames are the worst because there is no skill, just RNG

Don't get why this game has been retconned into terrible over the years? Who doesn't like interactive worlds with complex puzzles & furthering move-sets to add to your arsenal? I literally got so excited as a kid, when I solved a puzzle that was previously unable to be completed without a later game ability. Plus, this game lacks the worst BK/BT level ever, Clanker's Cavern! BT at least a 9.8 (or higher) /10

My Ranking From Worst To Best: 15: Tall, Tall Mountain (There’s literally NOTHING good about this level to me, the only good thing that I like is the slide) 14: Wet Dry World (To me this is one of the easier levels in the game but that doesn’t do it justice, it still is pretty boring) 13: Rainbow Ride (Unlucky third-teen because this level is a big f**k you, the challenge is pretty good for the last course tho. But I still hate it nonetheless) 12: Dire, Dire Docks (It’s alright) 11: Jolly Roger Bay (Only slightly better than DDD, it’s a bit more fun. I just absolutely hate water in this game) 10: Tick Tock Clock (It’s super frustrating but at least it’s still fun) 9: Tiny-Huge Island (It’s fun but also so f**king frustrating) 8: Snowman Land (It’s not the most fun, but it’s a break from the previous hellish courses) 7: Shifting Sand Land (I absolutely hate the outside area because it’s just nothing but hell, but inside the pyramid is my favorite part) 6: Lethal Lava Land (It’s the same thing about SSL, but it’s the other way around so it’s better since the better part is the bigger part) 5: Hazy Maze Cave (I love the complexity about this level, it’s so fun exploring and then getting the metal cap) 4: Cool Cool Mountain (It’s annoying but its still very memorable and fun) 3: Bo-omb Battlefield (Ofc, the last two levels are just a slight better. This level is near perfection) 2: Big Boo’s Haunt (The most unique and scariest level in the game and ghosthouse ever, the sound isn’t reused, the fun is real, scary and a perfect difficulty. And I really love how it’s the only level where you don’t jump into something when upon entering, instead you have to kill a specific boo to get there) 1: Whomps Fortress (Fun, Memorable, Perfect Difficulty, Nice crushing-moan sound and perfectly placed stars)

Two of my least favorites off memory are the shooting galleries in MM and the battleship game on Windfall in WW. Always dread these heart pieces

Minish Cap is an awesome Zelda game, though.

That is a general issue of MM. some heart pieces just aren’t worth the time you have to put in. Getting the Lover‘s Mask is another example. You have to play several cycles and acquire several masks JUST for this quest (which are otherwise useless) to be rewarded with ONE heart piece.

The heart piece I hate the most is in majoras mask the goron mask treasure heart piece the dodging the spikes while wearing the goron mask can be a pain. If you use the deku scrub mask zora mask or link it’s a different reward and it’s only a piece of heart if you use the goron mask

Honestly I think things like Don Gero quest or the spring water goron quest elevate them. Are the quests themselves annoying? Yes, but you're at least engaged in some kind of activity doing something for it. In my opinion the WORST heart pieces are the ones sitting out in the overworld that look easy enough to get, but you slowly figure out you need like 2 or 3 different dungeon items to actually reach them. Those are the worst because you first of all, have to remember they even exist, then second, by the time you're ABLE to get them you've either already beaten the game, or have enough hearts yourself that going out of your way to busywork your way to some random single heartpiece that doesn't AT LEAST have some character interaction and fun dialogue in a quest involved with it isn't really worth it.

The only dungeon I had any issue w/ was Great Bay. It makes all other water temples look like a Clocktown minigame🙄🤬😫

Snowhead for me is the funnest dungeon. I much prefer stone tower temple over the headache that is great bay.

I don't really think the don gero heart piece is that bad. for one, collecting a mask is reward in of itself, since it is part of the quest to get the fierce deity mask at the end of the game, and you keep masks you collect and do not have to get it on the same run as the rest of the quest. for the rest of it, I usually do it all on the same run as when I complete the Great Bay Temple, to minimize backtracking. Once I have access to that temple, I reset time, then slow time down, kill Ghot again, get the other frogs, and then complete the bay temple for the last frog. Still have to kill Ghot twice and fight the miniboss in the jungle temple twice, but the other is only once

I never played Wind Waker, but the frogs quest in Majoras Mask definitively looks less annoying than the trade quest from WW

I'd honestly have to add the heart piece from A Link To The Past as you complete Turtle Rock to rescue Zelda. Figuring out which side to use the Magic Mirror and making sure you don't get stuck (only to warp back to the Dark World) always got on my last nerve

ToTK has the right idea. When there's a big, multi-part sidequest that's very involved and time consuming, it should just give you a full heart container.

Yoshi's Fruit Adventure brings the entire level all the way down for me. But the harbor is nice.

LLL was definitely fun. I had the most fun getting mario stuck under the log to hear a rapid version of his burning butt laugh.
