Fixing a 600 Dollar Motorcycle!
zhlédnutí 11KPřed 11 měsíci
For this project, I bought a 600 dollar 1983 Suzuki GS650 that hasn't run in years. In this video I go through the process of diagnosing problems and repairing them to get it back on the road. This vintage motorcycle still has a lot of life left in it, so it deserves to be ridden!

Watch as I fix my vintage Kawasaki crotch rocket! Bought off of craigslist, this motorcycle has problems that need to be fixed before I get to ride it. In this video I find those problems and address them before taking it out on the road. It is a 1988 Kawasaki ZX1000.

Riding a Beautiful 1989 Yamaha FZR 600
zhlédnutí 23KPřed 2 lety
In this video I take my 1989 Yamaha FZR 600 for a ride by the Poudre river. While this bike may be old, it can still be a blast to ride. I also consider it to be one of the best looking motorcycles ever, but that is just my opinion. My skills as a videographer are not great, but I hope you can enjoy this video and learn a bit about the FZR 600.
Yamaha V-Star 650 Ride and Review
zhlédnutí 62KPřed 2 lety
In this video I show you my 2008 V-star 650 custom by taking it to horsetooth reservoir in Fort Collins Colorado. In the future I plan to improve my camera setup and invest in a microphone so that I do not have to voice over the video, and eliminate the wind noise. Thanks for watching and I hope I give you some good info about this motorcycle!

    Did you fix the brakes and check the baffle for clogging? What about the right crankcase seal? It has a fair amount of smoke which makes me suspect the seal may be leaking. Other than that it looks like a blast! Single trail riding at its best.

      @ForceMoto Před 7 dny

      I got the brakes working well, and the muffler was clear. I didn't think it was smoking much, I would be worried more if it wasn't smoking!

  • @bryanwhitton1784
    @bryanwhitton1784 Před 11 dny

    Nice ride but remember that this is a 50 year old engine. The seals in the engine are probably all shot. The smoke you see is likely oil being sucked into the engine. First thing to do is remove the engine and replace both seals. I would recommend that all seals in the engine be replaced. After reassembling the engine do a leak down test just to make sure. A leaky intake gasket can be really exciting as the engine will keep revving to the moon. If that happens you can even turn off the ignition and it will keep revving. Hit the choke and hope it stops(it usually does). Second, check the exhaust pipe and pull the baffle and get your propane torch and burn off the crap filling the holes. That is likely the cause of the top enf not being crisp. With the smoke(transmission oil) being burnt the baffle will clog up quickly. Third, fix the brakes and get a new chain before you ride it again. 😜 Great bike. Big bore two strokes are the most fun you can legally have! Yeah, they vibrate and are noisy and pollute the air horribly, but man are they fun.

    Another thing most didn't know about, was the gas tank was fake. The air box was underneath it. The real tank, you had to remove the seat, to get access to.

    Nice work ! I had hoped to see where all the vaccum lines went for the tank and air box so I could assemble my 90 zx10. Same leaks but in pieces when i got it. Hoping to find a diagram. Careful on that thing. Lol

    Get some gloves. You'll thank me later because you will fall off at some point. Clean the carb and check the jetting against stock jetting. You might not be getting enough fuel at high rpm. Check where the slide lock is at too.

    Your lethargic troubleshooting technique to make your video longer is mind numbing. Your analysis of the kickstand switch though remedially right in concept is fragmented and in accurate. Me owning a ‘90 since new can not bear to watch this past the 12 min mark.

    If you want to upgrade from the lackluster brakes. Get a 1999 - 2001 R1 or R6 right front caliper And rotor (only need one) Then put full sintered pads on it. Be mindful of panic grabs while turning afterwards or you will meet the ground quickly

    tuve una en 1994..maravillosa en motor y prestaciones...si que al tener la 1ª versión sobre todo mejoré el amortiguador trasero Ölhins.. y en el tren delantero puse solo muelles de la marca amarillos Ölhins con su aceite y una pequeña precarga de taco de Nylón torneado de 1,5cm. grueso, entonces la parte ciclo quedó muy aplomada hasta para girar tandas en Circuito.. ( que tiempos aquellos..). Saludos. Buen Video, suena esa moto muy bien y de motor sube con mucha garra, está aún muy buena.

    Hi. Nice bike. I had one in the 1990 bought it for £50 quid. I rebuilt it but used it for off road. Mine did have the decompression cable that combines with the kick start but never used it. I did the frame in purple because that was Yamaha colour back then. When you kick bring the piston to the top then use your body weight to kick it over or connect the cable to the kick start for the decompression. I fitted longer front forks and raised the back up it was a lot better. There’s not many of these bikes left mine was red and white. Nice bike you’re enjoy it a lot. UK
