A piece like that is composed to be a song, that is, sung - by a voice. Other than the "Great God..." part the melody is pretty monotonous. The bone solo doesn't do anything to save it.
SoundFreak88 the best players are the best players regardless of instrument, I prefer using a professional grade trigger with a 4G large shank Vincent Bach Megatone mouthpiece, yeah it’s objectively a better setup but I could solo just the same on my old beginner straight Yamaha.
Solo was amazing but in the original version of Vehicle the trombones have the melody for almost the entire song so was kind of disappointed to see that this version they didn’t
great tone man, from expirience though, I might recommend starting a solo at a more paced, softer point. It sounds nice if you have your solos go somewhere, the same with shaping music. But otherwise, you sound really great!
How cute. Our middle school band played the song better...however the solo was amazing. I recommend less looking down and more so to say "winging it". It's more exciting for the band and audience alike. Good job!
yeah, for some reason I was thinking "Vehicle" was the name of their school band... took me about 5 minutes to figure that out, but I had already posted the comment :(
holy shit
i wonder if it was a written solo ... probably not.
Bro where’s the saxophone section
Wonderful !
Beautifully done! Just added you!
I play trombone at haughton to and I a a freshman. Williams talks about you all the time
Can someone give me the name of the song, please?
vehicle lol?
Jesus shit
Excellent trombone solo!
We’re learning this in my jazz class and since I transferred from tuba to trombone like 3 days ago without learning how to play I’m 4th trombone ;-;
My trombone came from my school and it sounds like a dying elephant
Awesome. and so much fun!
I have the solo(s) in this and it's really fun to play. Challenging at First but that's what makes it fun.
Awesone trombone performance! I was a good trombone player but he is a great player.
theres nothing more fun then that rubato at 2:40
God damn bro
Great to see all these youngs doing this great piece. My brother flirted with the trombone in grade school.
Wow, that is an amazing solo. Your tone is just awesome and you're just overall on point. Awesome.
No tubas need to play the melody if they have them the trumpets were good but if you have heard the song the voice is deep so TUBA
Charlie Koenig it’s a jazz band dude
why isnt he conducting?
0:38, OOF
Would I not make sense to put the stands lower so the notes are actually projected out like the trumpets

C blues scale
it seems like the best trombone player always has the better trombone.............
SoundFreak88 Not in my band. In my band, our third trombone has the nicest one lol (Technically he plays the second part but we have 5 players)

that is friggen epic boi. I plan on seeing you in more concerts.
Nice

in the original version of vecicle, the melody goes to the vocalist. your "original version" is an arrangement (paul jennings I'd assume)
Fricking how?!?!?!
I play beginner trombone for the paragould pride I know I will never be as good as them
If you want to play better, avoid doing stuff like going up and down notes like that.
There trombone section sits that’s weird
Shae colean lmao u kidding
Ikr. Those trombones are weak
*their
bruddah why would a trombone section stand
Zach Kaufman they usually sit on stools not on just chairs, but I agree they usually don’t stand.
Right on!
this was a transcribed solo
Gage D how do u know?
@@theblackhawkcrew9584 I agree. I've played this arrangement and some of what is played here is the written solo.
Thomas Boniface Arrangements can u post a link?
@@theblackhawkcrew9584 czcams.com/video/tRTdJwPBwl0/video.html still very well played though and great improvisation for the rest of it
wow
This is awesome!
This is an ensemble
Never mind there's a solo too
Kevingamingpantz this is why we watch to the end before commenting
This awesome! What are the keys of the solo section

Kristopher Ring dang what a buzz kill dude lol
SuperMaDBrothers he’s just trying to give some advice
Solo rythem didn't go along with the main rythem so it was all over the plate and sounded sloppy
in the last part there is a thing called rubato which means a free time for the soloist
Hella good
You did start just playing scales though haha
I think maybe you got a little too cute with the lower partial stuff but this is an amazing solo. Nice job.
Props, this is unreal

Look at the title.

Are you in the jazz band at your school?
You have a gift from jesus my friend fr fr
Wow that was well done. ur tone is by far some of the greatest stuff ive ever heard. well done and keep practicing
micah yaroch you must have really low standards for tone
True, better than some college bands.
We are playing this and we have a trombone wall
2:39 this guy just starts playing scales before the last solo...
Alaric Lacey he might have been improvising
homerles ik it's improv telling you he just staying playing scales in his solo :)
