The particle in a box problem considers a single particle, such as an electron, trapped in a one-dimensional region between two impenetrable walls. The walls are so high that the particle cannot escape, meaning its potential energy is zero inside the box and infinitely large outside.
Wavefunction: In quantum mechanics, the state of the particle is described by a wavefunction. This wavefunction represents the probability amplitude of finding the particle at a specific position within the box. Inside the box, the wavefunction must meet certain boundary conditions: it must be zero at the walls of the box because the particle cannot exist outside the box.
Quantization: Unlike in classical mechanics, where the particle can have any energy, the particle in a box can only have specific, discrete energy levels. These energy levels are quantized and are determined by the size of the box and the mass of the particle.
Nodes and Antinodes: The wavefunction inside the box exhibits a pattern of nodes (points where the wavefunction is zero) and antinodes (points where the wavefunction has maximum amplitude). The number of nodes increases with the energy level, indicating higher energy states correspond to more complex wave patterns.
Energy Levels: The lowest energy state, called the ground state, has the simplest wavefunction with no nodes (except at the boundaries). Higher energy states, called excited states, have increasing numbers of nodes. The spacing between energy levels increases as the particle's energy increases.
This problem illustrates fundamental quantum mechanical principles, such as quantization of energy and the wave nature of particles. It also serves as a basis for understanding more complex systems in quantum mechanics, including atoms and molecules.

Despite all the advancements in science, science decoded 3 forces perfectly out of 4 forces except gravity because, for this entire universe to happen, there must be 1 force before all other forces start all this. The science is perplexed as if gravity is a force or just the elasticity of the mass (therefore not a force). This is where science completely misses because gravity is the complete witness state, which is wholly steadfast in its center without any repulsion, and when we observe life and see if someone is steadfast in its center without any reactions, irrespective of the entire drama outside, we tend to gravitate towards the person. So, in a nutshell, gravity is a state of complete equanimity, which is defined in the Vedic traditions as Shiva (a symbolic explanation). If we read and understand Hindu mythology, we will come to know the basic mechanism of life without worshiping these mythological diets blindly. One needs to decode these mythologies.

In the previous video you mention that energy levels can be degenerate. However, in the present video you state that an “energy level” for can have no more than two fermion occupants. It seems that it would be more precise to say that no more than two neutrons (protons) can correspond to the same “energy eigenstate”. As an analogy, the neon atom has six electrons at the same energy level in the 2p sub shell.

Einstein was far ahead of his time. I never fully grasped the concept of gravity, let alone electromagnetism. With significant effort, it's possible to prove everything from the perspective of a relative frame of reference. However, what we observe in our own frame (on Earth) is what truly matters. Consider this theorem: A cat has nine tails. Proof: No cat has eight tails. A cat has one more tail than no cat. Therefore, a cat has nine tails.😂

Does an atom become an ion during beta and alpha decay? For example, with alpha decay, 2 protons leave, then the atom is negatively charged because of the extra electrons. Or are the electrons leaving too?
