This is so well-made that I'm reluctant to offer a criticism. But here it is- I can't sympathize or identify with a blade runner who does his job sadistically. Deckard and K were almost apologetic about having to retire their targets. If you're going to inject someone with a fast-acting poison, why spend that person's last moments making him realize he's a Replicant? This character seems to get pleasure out of taunting a Replicant while watching him die.

Mr. Harvey, you are ready to make a feature film!

That final scene brought that scared terror to a kind of sorrow. That wasn't the last meal, the next one might be. That dread of waiting to find out would cause me to panic. Hitler was a monster in so many ways.

Excellent - truly excellent. Really punchy, left me feeling cold. It's unusual to achieve so much with so little - a measure of how much effort and care went into the craft.

I'm a harsh critic especially when it comes to anything Blade Runner and that was fantastic...the actors were extremely talented. Better than current Hollywood movies by far.

I've been watching over this for a few weeks and I keep coming back to it. It is simply insanely good. I've even included it in a spreadsheet I'm releasing to as part of the canon timeline, because it fits that well. Everything about this film makes it look official, which makes it being a fan creation all the more impressive.

You're in a delapitated bathroom... the water is over flowing from the sinks and onto the floor... you get the urge to use a toilet but notice they are all also over flowing colorful water onto the floor... you begin to crown and reach to the side noticing there is no more toilet paper on the cardboard roll... someone is banging and pounding on the door... you notice your zipper is stuck... you have to go so bad your teeth are floating...

finally, a fan film with good audio

why is nobody talking about the fact that the blade runner guy is named Kampff, like in the Voight-Kampff test in the original movie? maybe cause of the hard task seeing the difference between a 'real' human and a recplicant, this detective was one of the founders of the Voight-Kampff test (this story is set in "21st century" and it takes place during the Nexus 3-phase so definately before the 1982 movie storyline)

OK my critique. Straight off the back, i think in its opening scene it immediately tries way too hard. Indeed the score (soundtrack) is very much in the likeness of Vangelis , but its way too abrupt at the start, way too blasting in your face. Blade Runner was stark but subtle at the same time. Vangelis scored the film and gave the city a voice and character but he didn't particularly use those sounds as music per say. It was used as the identity and character of what world building he did. Then we are hit with a guy and a very stereotypical face. ala.. czcams.com/video/QZOLKwSsFik/video.html that video really showcases what people do WRONG in regards to blade runner. You shouldn't showcase its elements as a cliché. thats how it comes across, this is a blade runner type film so bring in the neon Asian signs and the lens flares. No.. you have to approach it not as a cliché but rather as a very real world. The pace of Blade Runner is very specific as well. For people today it would be awfully boring, a much slower pace than whats commonly produced today, but that's exactly what's both needed and required. to slow the viewer down. its not gulping down a hamburger, its taking time with a new york strip steak. IF you really want to learn how to mimic blade runner properly, its simple.. remake several of its scenes as spot on as you can. in doing so, you will undoubtedly begin to understand at least some of the general thinking behind the process. The proper lighting, mood, pace, simply remake some of those shots as accurately to the original as possible. then analyze the difference between what youve created vs the original. And all that isn't faithful to the original would be readily revealed. so when you then create an original tale such as this, is not a matter of building on the idea of blade runner but rather knowing what the production actually needs to achieve its look and feel. I like what i see here, but its also far off from the original.
