This is the guide I was looking for! Any experience installing Hackintosh straight from latest Sonoma image? You mentioned you had issues with your Wifi and reverted back to Ventura, I'm thinking to try the Ventura Image instead of Sonoma since I'm having issues booting (Platform not supported). Could also be my SMBIOS if that's the case I'll give an update
Yes, I’m now running Sonoma. Here is my write up. I plan to do a video at some point about this. www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/s/pGqRklPZQW
STAY AWAY of i Drive, one of the worse and most mediocre developed software i ever have tried. The shitty software, while staying in pause, after couple of standby start up circle in your computer, the software itself gets out of the “pause” status and then enter to a endless loop of “retrying”… retrying WHAT? If I did not resume it Also, do not expect a simple drag and drop system, go away if that is what you are looking for, they sell you some storage space but no, they do not sell storage space, they do sell managing your backup, the way they want not your way. There is no status indicator for each step or folder, just an overall indication, and once the backup is interrupted and need to resume or something you don’t know which files has been uploaded or what states or progress they are You could have the fastest net, but they will do whatever they want, from stuck numbers about its progress but using all the bandwidth and no progress to a extremely slow upload speed If you increment your backup in 5gb, and the already backed up files are up to 50gb, it will show a upload of 55gb.. WTH? If you and just one file to the backup it goes through all the process of verification for all the other files and good luck if you get out of the "retrying or verification status"
Will it work with intel laptop or desktop only?
If you follow the dortania guide it should work for some amd too
Can we use 4 Subs on 4 corners of a home theatre. How do you think it feels like.
If possible use the method of placing a sub in the prime listening position, then crawling around and listening to where the bass sounds the best.... thats where to place the sub. Repeat this for each of your subs. There are other ways to place subs too based on measurements but I'm not as familiar with that. Also there is simply convenience of location based on power outlet locations and space considerations. Best of luck!
Not sure why you wouldn't just use Itunes, especially when using Mac OS. Its much easier and faster.

Thanks for linking the video for me. I managed to get it running on KVM/qemu.
Your video gave me the confidence to finally give this a go, thanks man. I built my first Hackintosh in 2019 with Mojave. Still working great, I am about to embark on the OpenCore method with Monterey. I have installed a second SSD and created a new BIOS Profile and noticed that Clover was still being used to boot from the newly formed USB boot loader. Do you know if that is normal? I am problem solving an ACPI issue that hangs on boot and just realised the Clover boot screen was showing...it was so familiar I overlooked it.
You still have clover installed somewhere. I would disconnect other drives first and start clean

Agreed!
IDrive is probably fine for backing up small documents or Excel files. However, it's NOT suitable for storing large video files. Downloading or restoring them can take an extremely long time. Recently I attempted to restore a 230MB MP4 file, it estimated that it would take 6 hours to complete at speeds ranging from only 10-30kbps. I had to eventually terminate the download as I couldn't leave my laptop behind for 6 hours. I tested a few days later and getting the same download speed. With 300GB of files on IDrive, I'm now so so regretting about my decision to use IDrive. 😮💨😮💨
I agree I use local nas for large files only. In RAID1 with external hdd backup

Thanks for sharing! I didn't know you can directly get into Window's through Proxmox! Not that that's really how you want to be done it, but still. Neat stuff!
I didn’t want to dedicate an entire machine of hardware for windows. I was trying to declutter my office.
Why compress the file? Hard drives are affordable I have 4000 CDs saved as uncompressed AIFF it only takes up 2.11 TB of space. You don't know how to add a second hard drive to your computer? AIFF is one of the original codex used to make CDs. You can burn a CD as AIFF and any CD player can play it.
The file is smaller and same quality. Easier to manage. Also ability for quality file tagging
Sadly that error message about malicious software comes up and then software needs updating. Won't download.

So how fast does your connection need to be without roon to downsample for me or whatever? I am thinking of dumping Tidal, but I live in a small se asian village, internet is not as good as what you have, I can get like 1mbps (megabyte) to 1.2
Not sure. Try it and see if it runs into performance issues
Hi, and thanks for the video, followed your directions to a dime to get a 45MB file for a 5 minutes song. What am I doing wrong?
Is it flac?
Nice setup
Nobody cares what you backed up, show us how to use it...useless
I'll be honest: it doesn't worth it. You won't get any better performance on MacOS, if it's installed on unsupported hardware. There's constant problems with drivers, and device-specific ACPI trees. Saying as a person who installed it 3 times on various hardware. If you wanna try MacOS, better buy any cheap Intel (post-2007) MacBook and try it there, you won't regret it, and save your time.
You’ve installed it 3 times? I’ve installed it 30x3 times. But seriously it’s a matter of how well matched your hardware is with the OS. I’ve had macOS installations last years with no instability whatsoever.
Doh..
I have found a lot of things on mac is a pain as a new user coming from windows.
I also have a mac and I am looking for a way to use software to emulate a phono preamp. I don't have a phono stage in my setup and I was hoping to plug my turntable directly in to the line in of my mac then use a software pluging for the capture software that would equalize the audio as it comes in the same way a phono preamp would. That means passing it through an RIAA curve equalizer which would increase the low frequency gain dramatically to flatten the response against the high frequency. Have you ever seen software that does this?
I may have seen software out there but it wasn’t free. I would do a deep search but you are going to compromise quality of sound because computer are noisy and phono signals are weak.
@@Studio3BRocksThanks. I guess I will buy a Phono Preamp.

What version does this install?
Correct me if i wrong but i think hes installing BIg Sur MacOs
This demo I download Ventura but similar principles apply for other versions too.
I have a Dell R415 that is dedicated for firewall with Pfsense. BSD and Linux do no play well with Broadcom NIC so it best to install a Intel NIC and not use the internal NICS. Config the UPnP and DNS resolver for Plex so it will be able to get out. AirVPN has a good how to set up and you should install Snort. The R415 will take SSD and NVME to sata converter. I also have a Dell R510 but with the 12 drive in front and 2 inside version. TrueNAS Core is the OS and on that has the Plex in jails. Again you will need Intel NIC cards and a PERC with a firmware flash into IT mode on the card. Otherwise ZFS doesnt work and TrueNAS will complain. I recommend downloading the SUU update file from DELL to get the most current firmware. It would also be a good idea to get a L2 switch that can do VLANS and then you can also do LAGG. I used a Cisco 3560 for that. Hope this helps.
Lots of great info here, thank you
