Too many times under the Tories it was the ECHR which stood up for the law. All appeals in the UK had been exhausted and lost. It says it all really, we cannot rely on our Courts and the law being upheld.

We don't need a British Bill of Human rights because we are in the ECHR, which we were very instrumental in drawing up in the first place. If the Tories get their way, what can they possibly provide from a British bill that we don't already have under ECHR? Or is it they want the British to have less rights? I know that I'm perfectly happy as things stand on this issue. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Tories making a issue where one doesn't exist.

How big are the chances that a human rights document upheld by ONE government is superior to that upheld by dozens? Has Britain learned nothing from Brexit about 'going it alone'?
