I enjoy these episodes tremendously. One of my favorite things to do is explore historical sites. I especially enjoy visiting cemeteries and thinking about the lives of departed. I recently saw the episode in which flattering and critical comments about the channel were aired. The critical comments really angered me. This channel is done so very well, and so even handedly. I don't think that people realize how difficult it is to present a topic in an apolitical and unbiased manner. Of course we all have basis based upon our culture, sex, upbringing, religious preferences, etc. But it is quite apparent to me that a lot of effort is put into making these episodes as neutral as possible. I was also saddened by the apparent emotional effect some comments had on you, the presenter. I have been a prosecutor and an indigent defense attorney for the last forty years. About 20 years in each position. I just want people to understand that there are those who just want to see the world burn. There are those people who pride themselves not on honesty but on ther ability to deceive others, not on making the world a better place, but rather on how much damage they can do. Some might think that such sentiments are just hyperbole, but I assure everyone, that such people exist. Those whose lives are so miserable that the only way that they can feel better about themselves is tear others down. Your soothing voice, calm demeanor, and nonchalance as you go about presenting these episodes well desguise how brillyantly you do what you do. Quite a formidable talent. Please keep doing what you do and don't give a second thought to such incorrigible, mean spirited, and despicable personages.

His car was stored in the white door garage you are facing. I live around the corner of the site of the 1978 United Airlines flight 173 crash in Portland, OR. I walk at the golf course next to it nearly every day. People were on the news still emerging from the plane stunned and asking neighbors to call them cabs to the airport. I can see the broken trees that grew from the wreck from my house. The flight path would have taken it about 80 feet over my home. Many people perished, but a lot survived, too.

As an amateur photographer, I don't think you were close enough to the Tetons to be where the town was (regardless of your instructions). In the movie, the Tetons were massive in the background without the use of long telephoto lenses. In your pictures, the Tetons were too small in perspective. (IMHO).

This is a great video, thank you; however, there is one thing that I find troubling is your assertion referring to the pilots, after the mid-air collision, making an attempt to land the 727 on the freeway. There was no attempt to make such a landing due to the plane's nose dive pitch attitude and 180 degree angle of the aircraft. This may read like I'm 'nick-picking.' Please forgive.
