I'd love to see what could be done if you take those stacked/alternating toe hooks further, are you a setter for your local gym then?

@@The_Galaxyshark My gym and Manny others in denmark are volunteer based, so anybody with a little bit of climbing experience and a course payed for by the club can set their own boulders here. The fact that we have a lot of volunteer based gyms is about about the only good thing about being a climber in denmark, tho.

Woah that's really cool! Have you had much experience climbing at non-volunteer based gyms? Is there a noticeable difference in the setting?

@@The_Galaxyshark ofc the quality of the setting in my gym is a bit less consistant. It really depends who set the boulders, how much time they have and so on, but people actually talk with each other. The gym is so much more to me than just the place I climb. I have some of my best friends there and we have parties and communitydays at least once every month. It really helps me get out of the door the days when my motivation and skin is low

That's amazing to hear, I totally get that. To me climbing gyms have always been a wonderful social space as well as being a gym, there's days I go and I maybe climb two things and just sit there and talk to my mates. I've never been very sporty, and I'm quite introverted, but somehow bouldering gyms just open something up for me and it's fantastic

Ahhh interesting, is that maybe an American thing? All the gyms down my way you have a top hold you have to match. We're actually always told not to grab the top of the wall because it's so dusty and slippery!

Yeah I think for some reason it's not in style in UK gyms but I'm glad because it seems weird that every single ending of a climb is the same if you're topping out

If it helps, I've seen someone do it without the right foot, just pressing up between the volumes, looked crazy getting the left foot up though 😱

Ooo I think it was a V4!

The setters had it as a V5 but I definitely think V4 is more reasonable

It's all in editing. I make sure to get a nice high res recording and then use key frames in Capcut to move it around!

You know what, traverses are a solid idea, the height is always the worst part of feeling rough so hard moves close to the ground might save me

It was V3, definitely felt harder at the time but the more I think about it the more a hard V3 checks out

it's a climb from an event so there is no grade- but i agree

I'd say so yeah, didn't have a grade since my gym was running an event, but I'd say that's consistent with the other 4s

In my gym I think it'd be a V4, although this was part of an event so it wasn't graded Stick with it though, you'll get there, just because you can't do something now doesn't mean you'll never get there, and I bet you're closer than you think!

I don’t think the heel hook was needed

​@GTXSLAYERZ it is its on a slight overhang on the black part and the start hold is on quite a bad angle

@@WolfyBuddanah I reckon he could have flagged with the left foot and then got it with his right hand then left foot onto the 1 on the volume

​@GTXSLAYERZ possible but then that second move would be harder and more dangerous with trying to move your body with that high foot

@@WolfyBudda I was just saying that there was another way to do it also everybody has different strengths in climbing meaning differant ways would be easier for different peolle
