Hi What is the vine with heart shaped leaves behind you?
It's the purple ube / yam! Search for it on my channel.
I've seen people cutthe entire tree down then carve a bowl into the stump so they can scoop the juices out, but how did you manage to cut the plant in just the right way for it to form a jelly by itself?
I never understood how people could drink the juice as it's extremely bitter and astringent when it's fresh. This jelly formed about 24 hrs after I chopped the plant, and I didn't taste it until 48 hrs later. Didn't do anything particularly to get the jelly.

Not sure, but I was told in parts of South America wildlife keeps them under control.
I have a great idea for a field trip! There's a CZcamsr building a forest in the middle of the desert. I think you could do an episode trying to grow Chaya, or moringa on his property. They're doing a moringa trial rightnow, but they haven't tried Chaya yet. m.youtube.com/@dustupstexas
