I came across this video on a vhs tape. It is very short, the quality is not very good and there is no sound. But, there are several of our classmates in it. Does everyone remember Vic's Studebaker? I think he called it "The Lizard" How about the scene at the bottom of the water tower? Does anyone remember anything about the making of the video?

The movie was filmed at the city park in Robinson in the early 1950s. Anyone remember the year? It starred local kids who I was told paid $5 each to appear in it. Please contact me if you have any information about the making of this movie. I recognized several of my classmates from the RHS Class of 1961. Mary Ann Ferguson, Larry Albert, Phyllis Antonio, Carol Sue Bennett, Ray and Reba Randolph...

Rick Nelson hits from a concert in August of 1985.
Rick had one of the "GREATEST" guitar player in his band in the earlier years...James Burton (He's there in all those scenes in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet in the late Fifties, when the Nelsons' younger son, budding teen idol Ricky Nelson, would sing and the girls would swoon: James Burton was the lanky guitarist behind Ricky, an easy smile on his face as he accompanied the kid's rockabilly and pop .)
Rick Nelson…the person that the term “Teen Idol” was coined for.

I remember seeing Rick Nelson in Indy back in the early 80s and was disappointed in the size of the audience. Then on New Year's eve in 1985 saw where his plane went down and was killed

"It's Late" is a song written by Dorsey Burnette in 1958. Backing Rick in the video is James Kirkland on stand up bass, Richie Frost on drums and James Burton on lead guitar. They are all lip syncing. On the recording the Jordinaires are singing the background harmonies and Gene Garf is playing piano.
Music was still decent and civilized. Today they can't even sing, they just scream all the time, thinking that's the way to sing❤❤❤❤❤

I showed my wife this video. She said Rick is more handsome at 45 than he was when he was 20!! I'm 69 and I remember VIVIDLY the day of December 31, 1985 when he died in that tragic aviation incident. He was very talented and loved by many. May he RIP.

I was an instant fan of Rick Nelson, at 5 years old, when I snuck into my grandpa's den and put on the 45 rpm record of "Hello Mary Lou" back about 1962, and got an ass whoppin' for messin' with grandpa's record player, but it was worth it. I have always remained a fan and always will. I began playing his oldies in bar room gigs in the early 2000s and was surprized at the reactions of repeated requests to play them again... This man is legendary for sure!!! It is still a "CRYING SHAME" Rick, his lady friend, and band lost their lives in that horrible, tragic plane crash...May they all be resting in heavenly peace.
