I don't know have I said this before. You swap the expansion tank it tracts the opposite way? you have two choices eliminate the expansion tank or put another expansion tank on the other line 💥💥

454 on the water is a great motor in my opinion. Though in my 1986 sea ray sundancer the small block 8 cylinder always ran well for me. Even though the sundancer was something awful with that yellow color paint. We ended u putting a new gel coat on it.

You talked about the difficulty of ordering parts for your offroad equipment. The industrial hydraulics sector is more what you would expect as far as documentation of their hydraulics. Prints, part numbers and drawings are available from the manufacturers just like any other machine part. Industrial cylinders normally run higher duty cycles, higher pressures and are manufactured in larger numbers than mobile hydraulics. If you were a purchasing manager and had a thousand cylinders in you shop, you would not put up with this type of lousy documentation from the manufacturer.

Whole removal of the assembly is definitely the way to go. No issues about contamination and you have full control of the reassembly process. Love the channel.

I don't know why everyone things its a good idea to put the outdoor unit so close to the building. It does need to be able to dump the heat that its pulling from inside. Even contractors are wasting energy by putting their AC's in areas that do not have good airflow. Also you could have put in 2 - head units upstairs and solved all those problems and not used as much electricity. You could have solar'd the install and not even been worried about how much you were using.

I know it's too late now but the bottom Compression ring with that angle on it should be the bottom ring on the two compression ring Pistons. Put some drain back holes behind that oil control ring. It doesn't appear to have nearly as many holes in that new piston is in the old one and getting the oil back out of that cylinder and down into the crankcase is very helpful in controlling oil and keeping it from getting into the combustion chamber. Next time you have to take out dowel pins like that, turn that piece down just like you did and it fill it with grease and when you get it partially down you put a rag over it and hit it and it'll force that dowel pin straight up with hydraulic pressure

A lot of labor involved, controlling hydraulic oil loss is the most challenging part as it will go everywhere if you don't have a plan to contain it.. In the end, it's well worth the time to restore the proper functionality to your equipment. Great video - thanks for taking the time to document your work as it is very helpful to anyone considering attempting such a repair.
