Hello, good time. I have a number of paintings with signatures, most of them are famous and old. They are from 370 years old to 170 years old

Lets not get out of hand this artist is light years away from Rembrandt and just another Nerdrum clone and there's no storytelling here or myth they're just contrived images but you give philosophical meaning to them just as the modernists give meaning to Twombly scribbles. This is the same as the worst the Avant-Garde pukes up so you guys aren't Kitsch nor classical technicians, you're brainwashed Modernists using their language for survival and relevance but it hasn't worked. So lets ignore edges, value, temperature fluctuations while model is in cool light and skin tones of greys blues yet we paint form life using a limited Zorn palette ignoring the actual color of the model by using a palette which negates direct observation yet we 'say" we paint form life really to only beat ones chest as if they are actually adhering to Old master techniques and representing the highest principals of artistic expression. All nonsense and actually a balm to assuage artistic conscience which in turn creates a dishonest work of art flooded with false ideologies.

This kid could live to 140 and he will never match even Hals let alone Caravaggio. Utter nonsense.

Talk about your cult teacher all you want the fact remains Odd has not reached Titian or Rembrandt's level because his work is utterly contrived and dishonest. Nerdrum is in love with the techniques of Titian and Rembrandt and attached a dark narrative to it to appease and be embraced by the Avant-Garde, and in the end they never embraced him.

It’s so dark. Instruction is lethargic and boring . Adopting the past is a wonderful thing but this is an act. Just be a copycat.

Panel is superior to canvas or linen in every way. The old masters preferred panel for very good reasons. I have had nothing but trouble with canvas. Also, its just annoying to work with.... always floppy after working on it a while... and you can't be aggressive with it as far as scraping, sanding, etc.. I also think it is far less archival than panel. The oils in oil paint break down canvas but not panel. The owner of Wynn casino put a pen through his Picasso because it was on canvas not panel.... lost tens of millions. I have also seen shippers destroy my paintings o canvas but never panel. panel panel panel panel..... try it.

Odd Nerdrum is something special! Although he's not an artist in my eyes, but a very good painter, I like Odd Nerdrum. But sorry, guys. All these imitations that come out of the Odd Nerdrum school are incredibly cheap knock-offs. It would be about the same as if Francis Bacon had students who copied his painting style. Ridiculous.

Ten years of research trying to get this right…. When I started painting I would go to the museum and I will look at all of those great master paintings and I would ask myself say why does my paintings not looks like that it looks like leather looks like beautiful perfect surface it’s like what did they use I couldn’t figure it out and then I started doing the research and reading and reading in this video is so helpful and I am so happy and I just want to ask where can I buy this pure chalk from because I can’t find it anywhere.
