Food is expensive in Australia. To cook either of those meals for food alone, would be least 20 dollars for 2 people. That's not an exaggeration. We grow the food and we pay the most for it Go figure Our steak is cheaper in Japan than Australia Apparently to ship it 100 kilometres is more expensive than to ship it 7000 kilometres

Like all night markets, the novelty food outlets seem to be increasing in their number. I agree with what he is saying, there should be more authentic, traditional food on offer, but in all honesty many would be breaking their fasts at home and just going out to the night market for fun and the camaraderie. Really enjoying your videos guys👏🏻

So far she is only doing the tourist towns. The places you really want to live in are the towns without to many tourists. I like in the small town of Corowa, in New South Wales. We sit on the Murray River and have some of the best wines in the country, because we are just across the river from the Rutherglen wine region, without having to put up with that region's tourist traffic.

I think when Aussies rip Americans for bad stuff they’re kind of worried the same thing will come our way. I’m not a coffee drinker but I have to travel to a posher suburb to buy good tea. I see how that could happen in the future with butter. The butter is shit in America because there’s no standards, no regulation! Instead there’s FREEDOM! We needed more regulation back when, not on quality so much (for now) but on price. If dairy farmers had sought a floor price like the Canadians have done then there wouldn’t have been an exodus of farmers from the industry and dairy wouldn’t be so expensive as it is now. We are one step away from dairy for the very rich and dairy for the rest of us like in America. I feel like she should soak up the criticism and then decide what is or is not warranted and why. That is the value of travelling.

The government is involved, but indirectly. Royal Patronage means that every State Governor, plus the Federal Governor General is a Patron of the organization. The Royal connection is part of government. They give access to government departments that are needed for so many practical things, like all that hangar space at airports, and the ability to operate out of all airports, have priority use of airspace and radio networks, etc., without having to deal with red tape for every flight they make. But ultimately it was John Flynn who wanted to set up the service to operate just like the Red Cross, independent of government dictates and interference. In Australia it is common for people to leave money to the RFDS in their will. As a charity it works well and has been doing so for almost a century. The government does do emergency evacuations, usually using Army, Air Force, and Navy assets, but these tend to be larger scale, and are less nimble that the rapid response times of the Flying Doctor. The Flying Doctor does so much more than just use aircraft for evacuations. They operate regular clinics at remote communities. This is often in temporary tents or small buil;dings beside the air strip so Doctor and nurses can fly in and set up their equipment beside the runway. Sometimes even aircraft are not fast enough. Every remote community has emergency medical supplies on hand. Once, a long time ago, I was working on a remote cattle station and a young guy was gored by a bull. The Flying Doctor was on the radio. He guided us through laying the guy on the cook's kitchen table. The Doctor gave instructions and the cook cleaned up the wounds. She had training to be able to tell the Doctor what she was seeing. The cook sewed up the wounds. I was one of those holding the guy down and distracting him from what the cook was doing. The Doctor arrived later by aircraft to check the patient and approve the cook's good work. It was a case of the Doctor deciding that the guy needed immediate life saving treatment and while he was only on the radio, he saved that guy's life using the cook's hands to do it. People in remote areas adore the Flying Doctor, and just like community members set up gas lamps for that aircraft to fly in, the whole community gets involved in doing whatever is necessary to get people the help they need and assisting the Flying Doctor and nurses. Back in 1955, Queen Elizabeth was only newly crowned, but she thought the Flying Doctor Service was so important, giving it Royal Patronage was one of her first official duties. She spoke on the radio to a mother in a remote location about the service and how it helped her children, and what she needed. As Queen of Australia, she was the Head of State, so you are mistaken to think that the government is not involved. King Charles continues that important Royal involvement.

No,some spiders can be dangerous and all snakes here in Australia are poisonous,.We had 2 snakes in our back garden and had to call a snake catcher, cost us 200.00 for call out fee and by the time he came snake had gone under fence to next door,so wasn't found,.Now we have to check every time we go outside and we have dogs.Next doors had a dog that died from snake bite previous year.So they now have a puppy and are very worried too.Snake catcher guy said mow lawns ,no wood piles no logs no water areas, etc.Well we have all that ,pond in pergola, veg garden,3chickens etc and apparently they have a territory that they keep,so might see Mr snake in a few months time depending on his territory. Also said by guy just except them but be careful same time. Also snakes are milked for anti venom. Some spiders can leave ulcerations on the skin and even shut down the person's system,so yes living in Australia all my life ,65 now.😢❤😢

those drunks playing in the rain are obviously from the bush and reverting to their childhood. I grew up in arid areas and we didn't get a lot of rain and when we did, the backyard (garden) had a bit of an incline and would get a big puddle in it. it was considered the prize spot for all us and the neighbourhood kids to go sliding across the backyard through the puddle. the water /rain is not normally cold (fairly temperate really) and as some point you go through the door and your mother screams at you "hose yourself off before you come inside- you are covered in grass seeds' ahhh those were the days!
