REAL BAD RENTAL PROPERTY. Doesn't get much worse than this! SETT/VLM Cleaning With A 175 Rotary
zhlédnutí 219Před 9 hodinami
Cleaning a horribly soiled rental property. These carpets have had no mercy from the 2 dogs living in the home. There is literally smashed down turds in this carpet, and I do not think 1 inch of it does not have a pee stain on it. Will be using a very aggressive form of cleaning in most of the areas.

I had a few people ask to see my van setup so here it is. Do not mind my back left window, a truck hit me and busted out the window and bent up the door. Luckily it still opens with no issues I have just been too busy to have it fixed, but it's been raining so I had to make it waterproof until I can get it fixed.

I have been cleaning this house for years now. This will be the first time I will be cleaning it with a Low Moisture Process. There is a circle in the hallway that the maids somehow discolored. It really is the only issue in this home ever. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to fix this issue.

    Hello, Question: When doing vlm which agitating pad do you use. I see people using different scrubber. Some use the nylon black scrub. But More so, I've seen the more aggressive pads. You're using blue. Does that only work on heavy soiled carpet? Or just a specific carpet only?

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Před 20 hodinami

      This blue pad is very aggressive. Usually, I would never even use it on residential carpet, just for commercial carpet. However, in this situation I thought it was best for the job at hand. All of the pads have their perks and their flaws. The more you experiment with them, the more you will figure out what ones you like in certain situations. I will choose my way of cleaning depending on the job that I am doing. Sometimes I won't even use a pad to agitate and slap on a brush instead.

      No, I didn't use any HWE. I used to be a HWE guy for 15 years. I switched to SETT / ULM / VLM a year next month it will be now. By far the best decision I have ever made for my company. And, yes I am having a few issues with the machine. Now my jets in the front are no longer spraying. I had to attach my hosed sprayer to it so I can pre-spray if needed. Its old, and I just do not have time to drive an hour and 20 mins out to Mytee's Location. It sill gets the job done though, so that's all that matters to me. I needed an aggressive piece of equipment for this job. I'm about due to get a new one anyways lol!

      Hello, and congratulations on starting your own business! It takes a lot of faith and courage. As for the microfiber pad, honestly it is usually my last choice to pick unless I am doing commercial carpet. I will use it occasionally, but it is rare. I prefer a cotton pad as it absorbs more soil in my opinion. If a microfiber pad is what you want you can try bonnetpro.com or encapstore.com I do not know if they ship internationally though, but worth a shot. I hope this helps you.

    Have you had any moisture go through the backing and ruin the floor underneath. I’m always worried I’m going to wreck the floor underneath with moisture coming through. Especially with hard wood floors.

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Před 22 dny

      No, I have never had that issue. Especially with low moisture you shouldn't run into that problem at all. I used to clean thicker rugs on site when I did HWE even with no issues. On thinner rugs I did put plastic under the rugs first with HWE. No need now though with low moisture method. Go to the paint department of Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes and you can buy rolls of plastic for a decent price. Just cut them to length as needed. Hope this helps. czcams.com/video/ai-0Idyaczk/video.html Here is an old video where I used plastic under a rug when I did HWE

  • @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna

    I really like that Rotary, it looks good and is very quiet. As we both know the Rotary is a great tool in the hands of an expert and will clean very consistently and reliably all day. There are some that consider the simple Rotary to be archaic and obsolete and a relic of the 60s and everyone should switch over to the OP machine as they are somehow a better option. There is nothing wrong with the Rotary and as you prove with your videos and your success in your business they are a fine choice for the professional operator. The Ultra Low Moisture/Soil Extraction Transfer Technology method with either the OP or the Rotary is a great way to provide a service to your clients and provide a good living for yourself.

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Před 24 dny

      Thank you, I do like this machine as well. (you will like it better now as I finally got some SETT stickers for the cap) LOOKS SWEEEEETTTTTT!!!!!!!!! I just put it on a few days ago and have not posted it yet, but I did call you out in the video on the new sticker on the cap lol! Yes, the rotary is knocked down and picked on by many cleaners in the industry. I get it though, I did HWE for15 years and in my mind the rotary wasn't even considered a tool in my arsenal. It wasn't until I saw you, Brandon, and Cory use them in residential areas that changed my outlook on it. I have used it before on commercial, but never thought about using it on thicker carpeting. After playing with it in residential areas I quickly realized that it was actually doing a better job than the HWE in most cases, so I made the discission to switch about a year ago now. One of the best discissions I have made for my company thus far! As for an OP machine, I do like my Mytee, however I pretty much only use it for commercial, rarely do I use it on residential unless its friggan nasty. I do not miss HWE at all, especially in the brutal Chicago winters. Thank you, Robin, for helping me see the light!

    • @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna
      @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna Před 24 dny

      @@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Thats cool to hear, I think everyone needs to stop drinking the Koolaid of HWE and OP and start using their noggins about the Rotary. I get the resistance as the narrative has been persuasive and on the surface the arguments make sense. Part of the problem is people simply repeat the false statements about the rotary yet do not speak from actual experience. I am not meaning running one for a day or 2 but as you likely now understand there is a learning curve and it takes months at least to really understand how to get the best performance out of the Rotary and know what pads and attachments to use. There are more operators out there ditching both HWE and even OP as they stop and think this through and once you know, you know and it is truly eye opening and besides that the rotary is fun to use! the next step in your evolution is to modify your Rotary with the big wheels (Uline.com sells them) as that will make it easier to go up and down steps and also add the tank and learn how to use the shower feed technique. The irony is how simple this is and while some mock those using the primitive 1960s technology we just smile and say "go your own way" I have found that simple is the way to go.

    I primarily do HWE but am thinking of getting something like the Mytee or Vibe. I do more tile and been doing more and more vct strip and wax, so I think a machine like this would be a great add on to my arsenal. I was wondering if this would be the best option if I wanted to start working towards getting contracts for restaurants with big carpet areas. I haven’t tried to get those jobs because I feel like HWE would take too long to complete and dry. Am I right in thinking this type of machine would be a great investment?

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Před 27 dny

      I hated doing nasty restaurants when I was using HWE. Jack up the PSI and basically sand blast the carpet to get clean. I found it much easier with the Mytee in my opinion. I would highly recommend one, I absolutely love mine. I do only bust it out on nasty ass jobs, or bigger commercial jobs. It's a great tool to have in your arsenal no doubt.

    Amazing how better VLM is at cleaning compared to HWE. I feel like HWE just soaks the carpet too much and attract more dirt. I never understood using it to clean pet piss stains because to me I feel like spraying the piss with charged water would just push the ppee deeper intone fibers. HWE with encapsulation traps it and lifts it right up

    That Multibrush looks like it is creating a lot of torque. I think that was one of the reasons I stopped using one 20 years ago. I switched over to a fibre pad and 2 step process and sometimes I use a brush instead.

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, it does add considerable tongue. I actually just bought a brush for the 17 " I broke it in yesterday actually. I have an actual carpet brush on my 20" and the torque is not even close to that Multii Brush. The bristles are not as stiff, or as short as that Multii-Brush, lot less resistance. But I have been looking at fiber pads as of late now that you bring it up. I was leaning on those Neptune pads if you are familiar with them, I would love to hear your opinion on them if you have.

    • @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna
      @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna Před 2 měsíci

      @@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I have been using fibre pads for many years and they work very well. Many years ago I started with beige pads but they discontinued them and I went to the white ones that work pretty well and I will choose them for certain carpets including wool. I have used the Neptune pads as well as the red ones but I found the Neptune deteriorated rather quickly. The pad that is my first choice now is the hogs hair or Revive Fibre Encap pads from Bonnetpro and absolutely nothing scrubs as well as they do. When I discovered them it was a game changer and they constantly amaze me at how well and quickly they remove soil and stains from carpets and they are easy to work with as they produce minimal resistance and clean up well with a garden hose, plus they last a good long time. The hogs hair fibre pad is also incredibly effective at pulling out animal hair from the carpet.

    In the somber light of a waning afternoon, I am compelled to confront the Sisyphean torment of cleaning a rental property, a task as futile as it is relentless. With each stroke of the broom, each scrub of the cloth, I am haunted by the specter of inevitable defilement. The walls, once gleaming with a transient purity, shall soon bear the marks of heedless tenants-insensitive souls who, like phantoms of decay, will trample upon my labor with ungrateful abandon. Their indifference seeps into every corner, every crevice, until the abode I strove to sanctify becomes a canvas of desecration. It is a ceaseless cycle, a dance of cleanliness and corruption, where my efforts are but ephemeral gestures against an encroaching tide of neglect. And so, I toil in despair, for I know that my work shall be undone, my care obliterated by those who pass through these rooms like uncaring wraiths, leaving behind only the silent echoes of their disregard.

      @@Jimmy_Moon I think they would work just fine to pre scrub steps but I have an Oreck and the black brush works very well for that anyway.

      I loved this thing for entry ways and stairs when I did HWE. Now I just tend to use it on stairs as it maneuvers quite well and does an exceptional job at agitating! Let me know how you like it if and when you try it.

    lol that sound would be annoying. Somebody losing their marbles? Good work man, I just wish this was more of an educational video. Talk about your chemistry show off some tools. I’m curious about this multi brush.

      czcams.com/video/3_DvJyRC3hY/video.html Watch this video It shows the day I opened my Multii Brush so you can see what it is. Sorry, I will try to be more detailed, I have had a few people ask me now. Originally, I set this channel up as a virtual resume for potential clients to see my work. So, there was no need to get into the "how" part. They are just interested in the final result. Yes, that little machine is obnoxious...but it gets the job done! As for chems, I used Bio-Kleen a plant based neutral detergent, boosted with 1/2 cup of peroxide per gallon, with a shot of your favorite orange cleaner.

      @@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I’m a carpet cleaner to, I just like to hear about the chemicals used. Everyone is a little different. I like trying new things lol. That Trusted Clean 175 is nice. I bought mine when I started my business. I’m looking at the matching burnisher.

      Nice congrats! It is a Worx 320 psi cordless power washer. I love it! Any power washer will do, just make sure you get one with a LOW psi. Honestly 320 psi is too much in my opinion. Unfortunately, I have not found one under 320 psi so I just spray quickly.
